Of what I've seen, and in chronilogical order...

Mobile Suit Gundam, while dated visually(being from 1979), is a good story & the start of it all. Worth a watch, even if you just watch the 3 compilation movies of the series for a quick fix.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team is a 13-episode OVA that I highly recommend.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket is a great OVA side story of a 10 year old boy during the events of the One Year War(which is the major conflict & setting of the Universal Century (UC) calendar era)

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory is a 13-episode OVA that I highly recommend.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a must watch.

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ is decent, but be warned that the 1st half of the series takes a more comical slant than other Gundam series & shifts back to a more somber/serious slant in the 2nd half of the series.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack is a movie that wraps up plots from Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam & Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ

Mobile Suit Gundam F91 is a movie set 30 years after Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack with all new characters.

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam is the final series to be set in the Universal Century calendar.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam is set in the "Future Century", and while a great series is vastly different from other Gundam series. It's like other Gundam series are G.I. Joe & this one is Street Fighter 2.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing takes place in the "After Colony" timeline. A great series, and alot of people's gateway into Gundam due to it airing on Toonami.

Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is the 3-episode sequel OVA.

After War Gundam X takes place in an alternate timeline called After War, and is also recommended.



And whatever you do, avoid the G-Saviour movie at all costs.

Ever since X (and later Zero) were confirmed playable characters, I got way too invested in this game, but it looks like it's gonna be SF5 2.0, what with good gameplay but terrible everything else. This is the projected roster with 5/6s of the first group of DLC:

Even though I have enough characters to make ME happy (X, Zero, Jeddah, Rocket, and if that projection is true, Dormammu and Venom), I agree that it's a stupidly week roster. What the fuck are Spencer, Arthur, Chris, and Firebrand doing back? Who the fuck wants Winter Soldier or Nova in this game? Why did they turn Thanos' cool hyper combos from the old games into boring stuff?

While I agree about Firebrand (I wouldn't even have had him in UMvC3), Spencer is in because A)he's a good character, and B)Combofiend who is a top-tier FGC/MvC3 player is helping work on the game. Much the same way that Sentinel, Storm & Magneto were in MvC3 because they were always on top-tier MvC2 teams(granted Sentinel was there due to it's cheapness, but...). Winter Soldier can be both a cool character if built right AND a good natural team-up with Captain America, not to mention that he's popular due to the MCU movies. You ask who wants Nova, well I could give 2 drizzling shits about Frank West or Venom, or even Phoenix Wright last game, but I know that those characters have fans of them who enjoy playing as them.

And you've had hands on experience with the game to know that Thanos is now "boring stuff"?

After the first wave of DLC, they need to do something huge to earn a lot of good will. Something like the following offered for FREE:

X-Men vs. Street Fighter pack

Wolverine
Storm
Magneto

Akuma (or Bison if Akuma turns out to be the unknown character from first group of DLC)
SF5 rep (probably Necalli)
A wildcard choice, like Ingrid

Then there also needs to be a Fantastic Four pack with Doom, Super Skrull, and Silver Surfer, they could bring back the MvC2 original characters (or at least Ruby Heart), and then a bunch of highly requested pics, like Gambit, Asura, a Power Stone character, and Squirrel Girl.

Will never happen. Marvel doesn't want to rep X-Men or FF characters(as much as I liked Super Skrull), or do you believe that Capcom had an roster oversight after the box office successes of both Deadpool & Logan? Gambit sucks anyway, stop living in the "EXTREME 90'S" because that was the only time that character even mattered in the comics. Besides screw Necalli & Ingrid, Capcom needs to add in more franchises than just Street Fighter, Mega Man, and a smattering of Darkstalkers. Like Power Stone, or Breath of Fire, or Tech Romancer, or Cyberbots, or Regina from Dino Crisis, or someone from Omnimusha, or Gene from Godhand, or quit with the Japan hatred & give in to the American fans of the character & give us Jon Talbain. Or like you say, even bring back Ruby Heart.

Hell, I'd even take Howard The Duck, and have him have an unlockable/DLC Donald Duck costume.
