He might. There was a random 8-man tourney this afternoon involving him, Firebat, Kibler, Ant, and several other pros, and he made it to the finals before falling to Kibler (when your lineup counters Jade Druid and Kazakus Priest, you really don't want to start running into Handbuff Paladins and Bearsharks >_>).

augh the official English release of the ReLIFE manga is only up as far as the anime! I did enjoy a few bits that got edited out of the anime though.

I guess I might have to settle for a fan translation of what hasn't been released yet because I can't find a release date for the next volume of the manga. I don't even know if it's finished yet! I guess I'll find out.

I feel like I should mention that the fan translation of ReLIFE is pretty bad; you might be better off simply waiting for Crunchy to catch up (I'm assuming they're doing a chapter or two a week, or something).

I randomly ran into FD in the Arena at 3-2, and got completely blown out by Archerus Vet early on, and then Primordial Drake late.

I then went for a salty runback Druid. Got:

Innervate

Acherus Vet
Glacial Shard

Druid.Swarm
Power.Wild
Volatile Ele

Deathspeaker
Elder Longneck
Imp Master
Squirm Tent

Bite
Daring Reporter
Infested Tauren
Kooky Chem
Mire Keep
Polluted Hoarder

Fatespinner
Living Mana
Spreading Plague
Starfall x2
Tomb Lurker
Webweave

Defias Cleaner
Moonglade Portal
Necrotic Geist

Malfurious

UI x2

Mountain Giant

I wasn't expecting too much. Double UI and Malfurious is awesome, obviously, and Innervate and Mountain Giant are both great with the UIs, but a pair of 2/1's doesn't make up for only having three 2-drops and just a Mire Keeper for ramp. Got to 12-2, and picked up a Sindragosa in the pack~

Naruhodo: ...
Iris: Hm? What's wrong?
Naruhodo: Nah; it's just, I thought you called ones that could be folded in half "stepladders" in English.
Iris: Yeah, English can be strangely specific sometimes. The language winds up laying the seeds for so much strife.

The fact that top players get 10+ wins consistently more often than one out of every twenty tries flies in the face of your reasoning. As does the rarity of unskilled players making double digits.

You are starting with a conclusion -- that there is no skill in Arena -- and are throwing out pretty much meaningless numbers and stats to back that up. Heck, Blizzard playing with the numbers reduces variance: if cards that heavily impact win rate (both favorably, like Bonemare, and unfavorably, like ancient Watcher) are less likely to show up, then draft luck is less impactful on your overall result.

But that is irrelevant. Draft variance has always been a thing in card games, and always will be. RNG variance in terms of e.g. draws has always been a thing in card games, and always will be. If this bothers you, perhaps you shouldn't be playing card games.

THIS IS WHAT THE CURRENT CHALLENGE RATING CURVE LOOKS LIKE

50/88/87/50/50/91/50/50/50/89/50/50

where those high numbers are arbitrarily placed and could just show up anywhere on the curve. sometimes you'll get fewer and will luck into a 12 win run with a mediocre deck. sometimes you'll get more and will luck into an early run termination despite having a really good deck.

This is simply wrong. Variance does not affect the mean.

So while I do not have specific numbers, it is generally accepted that illegal immigrants are a net boon to the government's coffers. The reason for this is that they pay taxes (e.g. sales tax, property tax either directly [from owning a home] or indirectly [some of that rent check is going towards that], payroll taxes if they are not being paid under the table [happens a lot -- an employer can honestly say "Well I had no idea he was illegal" because they chose not to ask the question and get away with that, but if they start dodging taxes, Uncle Sam's not gonna be too happy]), but do not have the ability to receive any benefits (as a lazy example, you can't get Social Security without a valid SSN).

As for roads, this comes down to economics of scale. A road takes more wear and tear from one winter than it does from a year of cars, for instance, and having more people does not increase the amount of roads necessary by a proportionate amount. There will always have to be a single well-maintained road through the desert no matter how many people live in the surrounding areas, for instance. While that may seem reductionary, there's a lot of open space in this country punctuated by spread-out population centers, so that's a really large percentage of the roads.

And I should probably stop editing posts a hundred times but YOU CAN'T STOP ME.

IIRC, my experience with the 3rd quiz minigame was that the last/hardest difficulty was actually easier than the previous one. The last one was generally "meta" questions that you needed outside information to answer. The level previous was stuff that was technically in-game but was so ridiculously obscure it was crazy.

Agreed 100%. The meta questions were super fun, imho.

I think you would have enjoyed this topic much more - I know I did - before 7x05. The battle in 7x04 had (some) people thinking this season could be among the top. The one-two punch of 7x05 and 7x06 really let a *lot* of the wind out of those sails, I think.

Yeah, I was in that boat. The first four episodes were flawed, yes, but I enjoyed them -- and it's been years since I've been able to say that about this show. Then everything plummeted.

how do you emulate a game without downloading it

like I said I'm not really up on how emulators work and all that stuff

You can make a ROM/ISO dump yourself -- you have a legal right to make an archival (i.e. backup) copy of any computer software. Alternatively, with games that are on CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays, you can just stick the disk in a PC's optical drive and run it off that.

Like.

Littlefinger: I'mma go randomly make the Stark sisters kill each other now, despite my stated affection for Sansa being the only possible believable motivation for me at this point.
Bran: You know I know everything, right? Except for who married whom because that shit's boring.
Littlefinger: No one talks to you, cripple. Now excuse me while I don't have you murdered while you're sitting in a secluded space all by your lonesome.
Bran: Thanks, bud, but you're gonna regret that in exactly 183 hours.
Sansa: Hey Littlefinger guess who I talked to last night?
Littlefinger: Well fuck me.

There was no rational way Littlefinger's plan worked. We only expected it to because that is the quality of writing we have grown accustomed to.

Okay. Let me see if I've got all of this right:
--Team Idiots, despite launching from the literal Obsidian Mine, did not bother to equip themselves with obsidian weaponry.
--Team Idiots is at least a 24-hour walk from the Wall. Presumably more.
--Team Idiots spends 24 hours surrounded by the entire Army of the Dead. During this time, Gendry runs all the way back to East-watch-by-the-sea, a raven is sent to Dragonstone, and Dany somehow flies all the way back up north.
--Dany somehow finds Team Idiots in the middle of hundreds and hundreds of miles of indistinguishable tundra.
--I literally could not tell who was getting hurt because literally everyone on Team Idiots looks the same to me because they've all got black hair, beards, are white, and are wearing the same clothes. I couldn't even make out the redness of Torgen's hair, the colors were so... saturated? Is that the right word? Whatever. Admittedly, that one's on me, but still! You could at least let the Red Priest wear red!
--Team Idiot's glorious leader, Jon Snow, is immune to cold now or something. This is somehow one of the least stupid things this episode.
--Despite our already having established that the Army of the Dead is LESS THAN 24 HOURS FROM EAST-WATCH-BY-THE-SEA, the characters still figure there's sufficient time to get to King's Landing, convince everybody re: Impending Doom, put all of everyone's armies on a bunch of boats, and sail north.
--And because of the writing quality of the show, they're gonna be right.

On the bright side: at least Team Idiots paid for their idiocy by giving the Night King a Blue-Eyes Wight Dragon in attack mode.

The biggest change here was in tone: In the show, Ned sounds badass, rather than mournful.

maybe 5% of people are playing shaman. who cares.

As for druid: in my experience, you generally don't care.

Shaduln: I feel like your early game's gonna cost you a game or two, but that late game... :)

I'm finally getting in some arena runs myself, and... Man, I really underestimated Deathspeaker. It's only a 117 on the Lightforge, and I have to assume that's a function of the dearth of 2-drops because it feels insane right now.

data reaper's live data is kinda worthless, since it takes all ranks into account (unless there's an option on the spreadsheet I'm not seeing).

also I'm pretty sure Raynad made a video all of yesterday complaining about Invigorate but >_>

He does get ridiculous, but Druid is also stupidly good right now. Literally 40% of the top ranks are Druids.
