I think Kingdom of Amalur in a way. Areas are level locked based on when you first get to them. So too much exploring can accidentally put the game on easy mode if you explore a lot without finishing quests and leveling up.

Not sure if it is exactly what you mean, but I put forth Nightcrawler. I felt very uncomfortable watching Jake Gyllenhaal's do the things he was doing, but was captivated at the same time. Almost felt like I was spying on a despicable human being, and was being tainted just by observing.

The second half of Martyrs was kind of disturbing to watch. Went a completely different direction from what I was expecting, and felt a little uneasy when you realize what a hopeless situation the protagonist is stuck in.

Some smells fishy about this whole thing. From what I can glean from the article, a group called dads4kids is the one who made the commercial. But then there was also this lovely snippet about the same group.

But despite claims from Dads4Kids that it had no intention to enter into the marriage debate, the Christian group has in the past vociferously campaigned against same-sex marriage and advocated for government funding for “gay cure” therapies.

So a group that has in the past been staunchly anti-gay suddenly makes a commercial featuring 2 dads right before there is a vote on same sex marriage. Then anonymous complaints have prevented the commercial from running for being too political.

Not to be completely tinfoil hat about it, but if anything screams false flag, this would be it.

Side note TC: how is this in any way the fault of SJW's?

Because it's not an imprisonable defense. Or at least it shouldn't be. Hitting a woman is pretty tame on the scale of crimes. It's just...assault. Which is IIRC a fine or a few days in jail (not prison).

Unless you are a wife who hits her husband. In which case the man will most likely still hauled off to jail if he dared to so something outrageous like grab her wrists after being assaulted.

Speaking from personal experience, be very careful the first time you shower. Without thinking, I just rubbed the towel down my chest, and it hurt like a bitch. Learned quickly after that to dab the area dry until they healed.

Imagine a world where someone can donate a million dollars they accrued in their life to give to others who are dying/losing homes/ have their lifes turned upside down... and people complaining about it.

Like, it truly is just amazing that someone could bash something like this.

It is basically like, to those bashing him, he should have just not donated anything at all because he is being put down for helping. Whether he gave a dollar; a million, or a billion, he did not have to give anything and still did.

I am sure the actual victims of the disaster are thankful for any donation, no matter how small or large, despite those sitting in their comfy homes sitting their criticizing some who chose to give to help them.

Nobody is bashing him for donating. They are rightly skeptical about whether the donation will materialize at all. I suspect if he does cut a check, it will go directly to the trump foundation instead of another organization assisting with harvey aid.

Only downside to Demon's is the lack of equipment/weapon variety, and how obscure the upgrading and world tendency is. But it does have the simple, easy to use dupe glitch for making yourself an OP mage from the start.

And the pure bladestone. Fuck grinding for that thing.

Watching people play games instead of playing them yourself is still a bizarre, new thing to me.

Like who wants to watch someone play a game? Play your own damn game.

Watching blind playthroughs of a game you love can be a great and frustrating experience at the same time. Seeing their reaction to discovering new things is great. Watching them miss something simple is infuriating. A way to relive your first experience vicariously.

Watching people destroy a game you struggle with can teach you a lot about a game, new techniques or things you didn't even know existed.

Or a game you enjoy, but just suck at. Like XCom. I love the game, have played through it a few times, but always on easy. Anything harder kind of stresses me out. But watching other people jump right into impossible difficulty and making it look easy is a thrill.

But the simplest can be those who don't spend much time talking about the game at all. You find them through a common interest in a certain game, but as they keep talking about random stuff, it becomes more like listening to talk radio while a game just happens to play in the background.

Plus it can be fun to see another perspective on your favorite games, or see the host suffer on a game so bad you don't want to play it yourself. Or maybe it's a genre you don't like playing but the storyline is interesting.

Forgot about this one. I had heard so much about the bioshock games, but FPS are not something I enjoy. So an LP was a way to ignore the gameplay but enjoy the worldbuilding.

I think the main draws for it are the Nightmarish horror/Lovecraftian style setting and the faster paced gameplay. I'm personally not sure if I'd say it's the best game of it's kind, but I can see where other people come from in praising it.

This. I've played through the series, love em all. I like BB because it incentivizes to you play aggressively. It rewards you more on the risk scale, vs some of the other souls games where it requires self-restraint. Both equally strategic, but in different ways.

BB has really ruined my attempts at getting the plat in DS2. My character with the most progress towards it was done as a tank, so heavy armor, weapon, and great shield. Stats mostly in str, hp, vit, and end. And it is so hard to go back to the tank and spank method after so much time being aggressive and shieldless. I know I can respec, but then I don't have any weapons/armor leveled up to use.

If this is your first experience with a souls game, that 9 gig patch took less time than the old, unpatched load times would have cost you with constant deaths.

But I'm guessing it included the old hunters DLC. Which I would highly recommend if you find yourself addicted to the game.

Working for LA Sanitation, it truly is speed over quality. Because if you go for quality, they'll bitch at you for not doing as many as you should.

So, they would rather you have to do it over and over again, instead of doing it right the first time? I understand there's a certain minimum speed needed, but doing a half-assed job would produce just as many complaints and you would have to do it twice.

I fucking hated the old general manager and one of the other projectionists I used to work with at the theatre. It used to take me maybe an hour, hour and a half to build up a 35mm print, done while also running/checking the 15 screens I was responsible for. Checked for factory splices that had to be removed, check for print damage if we may have needed to order a new reel, and double checked all my splices.

Comes the new GM and new booth employee, talking down because he could build up a print in under 30 minutes. Didn't check for any damage, just put the reels on the table and turned it on full speed and walked away. If you aren't around when it hits the end, the chance was very high the film tail would whip around damaging/destroying the end. GM preferred him to build it fast, since I could just fix the problems later.

Guess which is easier? Doublechecking your splices when you make them and they are still on a build up table? Or trying to find where the bad splice is in 2 miles of wrapped up film?

So since everything goes both ways equally, it begs the question of why one side should be given priority and preference over the other.

I think slapnutz is a better fitting name choice than fenderbender. So I'm gonna call you that from now on since preference should be equal.

Nah, everything makes it hurt. I tried to numb it with some good wine but that didn't last long at all. I'm gonna play hell trying to get into a dentist because my insurance is screwed up. Apparently i haven't had any coverage since May.

Have you been able to tell if you have any kind of blister on the gum by the problem tooth? Had an impacted tooth about a year ago, but didn't really notice until it became too painful to chew. Shortly thereafter, I could feel something pushing between my gum and cheek. Turns out it was an infection and it was all the crap building up.

Used to get pains in the same area, but digging around the broken tooth, I could usually find whatever scrap of food may have been there, giving immediate relief. Note: using a toothpick to actually dig into your gums because of bad teeth is a bad idea. Now, I use a small syringe (given to me by an oral surgeon after an extraction) to flush water into problem areas.

Even though all my teeth are terrible, I got lucky that I've only had to have one extracted. The rest kind of collapsed and the gums eventually grew back over them. I would love to get them taken care of, but there is no way I can afford it (no dental insurance, but I somehow make too much to be eligible for financial aid). The other part of me says I'm 42, so what is the point.

Only bright side is I can smile with a full grin for nieces/nephews to show what happens if they don't take care of their teeth.

I made a quick edit, but no need to count heads. Look at the pillars with the white on them. Crowd ends a little before that in the first picture. Now find those same pillars in the second photo. That is where the tv cameras are located. If you follow the ceiling supports, you can see how warped the image is.

You mean games like Gradius and the like? Strange at it seems, don't look at your character during bullet hell times, but at the bullets. Watch the pattern as they come at you and anticipate how to dodge around it while really only seeing your character out of the corner of your eye.
