I guess we technically still have Lance Reddick but it's not the same Wesker. He's the glue holding the show together. The villain, Evelyn, is silly. Like this is not a real person lol. Not a shred of humanity exists within her. They have something there with her trying to reclaim her legacy but it doesn't really come in until the last episode and she just shoots her fucking kid. I don't quite understand what they did with her in the present. Billy turned her into a cyborg lady??? --- "This is your last dance." |

| Blue_Inigo 07/22/22 3:58:59 PM #1 | I'm gonna start off and say, this show is not that bad. It's a few steps away from being decent. It just has some kinda unlikable main characters lol. Also the constant switching from past to present was not great. I think the present was actually the weaker part. I wanted to see what was happening with Billy and Wesker. Jade can really rub you the wrong way. I think teenage her is fine. Adult her is a mess who does get everyone killed like her sister said. I guess the point is that she takes after her father and puts her mission above everything else. There's a point where they discover a possible zombie repellant. Her friend says they just have to wait two weeks to get it set up. She decides to sneak off her boat, find a zombie, bring it on board, and experiment on it. This directly gets her (pregnant) friend killed. It was such a baffling decision. Wesker is the most interesting character. There's a creepy, mysterious atmosphere around him the first couple of episodes because you know there's something up with him and his kids. You can't quite tell if he's using them for something sinister or actually cares about them. He is the best character in the show. Finding out he's a clone of the original piece of shit Wesker was interesting. Anyone else actually watch this show --- "This is your last dance." |
