I really enjoyed FFTA. I loved the new races and jobs, I appreciated that there were numerous sidequest missions and not just story missions + random encounters, and the soundtrack was better than a GBA game had any right to be. This was also one of those series / gameplay genres that I loved having on a handheld. The Judges / Laws and ridiculously-inaccurate hit rates were the only things that dragged the game down for me.

FTTA2, though...still fun to play from a pure gameplay standpoint, but it was impossible to look past how dogshit that story was.

Why is it disingenuous? This idea that you're either 100% with us or 100% wrong is what has this country so divided. The loudest 20% on each side yelling at each other, while the other 60% kinda sits in the middle wondering why everyone has to be so extreme about everything.

If people like you took even a fraction of the level of personal responsibility / self awareness you demand from people criticizing Joe Rogan and actually demanded it from Joe Rogan himself, this issue wouldn't exist in the first place.

I noticed that too, rewatched it about half a dozen times and couldn't tell you for certain. It kinda looks like it bounces off one of the bumpers and then starts targeting the inkling.

Going back and listening to Glenn Beck's early days is just crazy, because that person clearly left the building and never came back.

I didn't watch Beck much, but even so the magnitude of his decline was visible from Andromeda. I remember him trying to convince Ted Nugent on-air how wrong it was for Ted to be openly calling for Hillary's assassination.

Endgame was a deliberate callback / payoff on both fronts: Tony ended up making the sacrifice play after all, and Tony's 'everything special about you came from a bottle' dig at Cap was refuted when Cap proved himself worthy to wield Mjolnir.

As someone who fairly recently suffered from a thrombosed hemorrhoid that burst and bled for four days straight, trust me: don't spend any more time on the pot than you have to.

We all know exactly what this person means with this garbage. Your post was 'ignored' because what you posted was already obvious.

Comedy is both a skill and an artform, and just because you tell a joke doesn't mean you're entitled to a positive reaction. If you're going to attempt a joke about a touchy / controversial subject, you'd better have the necessary skill to back it up: bitching at people for not finding the humor in your failure of an edgy joke is like blaming the pavement you just ate because you suck at skateboarding. Skilled comedians can and do make it work: Louis CK got away with dropping n-bombs and child molestation jokes in his standup because he's a very talented comedian.

I guess it's pretty unlikely that a child who actually had a loving, supportive mother would grow up to be someone like Donald Trump.

I'm gonna go ahead and say 'pass,' on the simple assumption that, while most people lust over their partner's organs (and the juices said organs produce), the vast, vast majority of people feel quite the opposite about their own. A woman 'vabbing' seems equivalent to your average CEman dabbing his own ejaculate on his neck. Someone willing to do that is either a superfreak (and not necessarily in a good way), or is disgusting themselves solely for their partner's pleasure, and I wouldn't want to be involved in either arrangement.

Completely unfamiliar with his solo work outside of one obvious song. It's fair to say that Casino Royale wouldn't have made quite the same lasting impression if 'You Know My Name' hadn't slayed in the opening credits.

Also really looking forward to racing Kalamari Desert again. MK64 is the one and only video game me and my brother could ever convince our dad to play along with us, and that was one of our most-raced tracks. At first I thought N64 tracks like Choco Mountain wouldn't hold up to current MK standards, but CM has really grown on me in the past couple months.

'Bout time. And I'm very happy it's adding at least one brand-new track (with antigrav, to boot!), which confirms that other original tracks are likely in the pipeline.

I really wish they'd stop wasting slots on SNES tracks, we've already got more than enough.

The vast majority of boomers this person is attempting to pander to despise GTA as a concept. So trying to rile them up over GTA's integrity being compromised by wokeness might very well create aneurysm-inducing levels of cognitive dissonance.

Late Gen 3 and Gen 4: The Vs. Seeker. That is all.

Yeah, I remember flying school being the biggest hurdle to overcome. Took me forever to get the hang of helicopter controls in VC, then just when I was starting to get the hang of those SA came along and threw jets and biplanes into the mix.

Funny you say that, because 'Gentileschi' was always the name I'd have picked for a female Turtle. But in hindsight using her surname wouldn't follow the naming convention.

I enjoyed it. But then again, the last time I played the game, Dubya was still in the White House and the open world was still new and exciting enough that the repetitive hunting and driving was fun.

Yes, at some point in Ruby. Had no idea what it was until some time later; thankfully once I learned what it was, I managed to dig up a couple 'mons I'd stored who were still carrying it. I transferred that same strain to every 'mon I trained all the way up through ORAS.

It's funny because even though the Mario Bros. movie was a badly written movie, I remember a lot of youth in the 90s loving it and wishing they made sequels. To be young and blind again.

I was ten when the movie came out, and I distinctly remember that movie being what triggered my taste receptors. I wanted to like it - it was a Mario movie, why wouldn't I like it? - but couldn't understand why I didn't, and felt borderline-depressed over this conundrum for weeks before finally coming to the realization that it was simply a bad, bad movie.

Speed Racer is equal parts visual marvel, YA drama, and lowbrow kids movie that all mixes together about as well as oil and water...and I love it.

Me asking myself just now 'wow, they're already up to 6 seasons of that show?' should serve as an accurate gauge of my interest level. Show really fell off a cliff for me after the first season; there were a few standout eps in s2 and what I could get through in s3, but I was really disappointed at how 'ehhh' the show became overall.

I was surprised to learn Brenner was still alive after being killed and that Owens seemingly knew about it.

Ever since El's sidequest in S2 I've been saying that I was going to be pissed if they just brought Dr. Brenner back out of the blue with no explanation as to how he survived getting mauled by a Demogorgon. Well, they did exactly that, and I was pissed. I don't consider it a show-ruining flaw by any stretch, and me fully expecting it to happen softened the blow...but I was still pissed.

Yes, El used her powers to bring Max back from the edge of physical death. But the later scene with El going into trance and screaming for Max in an empty space implies that Max is somehow soul-trapped by Vecna (or at least that's the reasonable assumption; the alternative is that Max is completely braindead, which I don't see happening).

People rag on the show for giving their main cast plot armor, but having all your limbs snapped in half, being blind, and being soul-trapped is not exactly an enviable fate.

'Bout damn time. SR2 wouldn't have made quite the same impact if I hadn't been able to make The Boss female.
