OK that might actually be as strong as any all star team you could make for him.

The champ with the all legendary team not even being in this seems wrong.

Question from someone who hasn't been paying attention to the anime for years. What is Ash using for a team? Is it the team he won a league with or like an all star team from all seasons?

DK for sure. Kuma is strong, but his best feats are against humans that are typically not much higher than peak human. Heihachi is much, much better than Kuma, for instance. Kuma's rival is Paul, who is about as peak human as it gets, but he's still human.

You aren't reading weekly so don't worry.

For people who binge it, it is commonly a favorite arc of the entire series.

It's not my favorite but after rewatching it as a binge it is in my top 4. It is my wife's favorite though and i know multiple other people who didn't experience it week to week and who also have it as a favorite.

Plus remembering more of the War he was the one who got the video out against the marines wishes. He was attacked by all three admirals and Hawkeye and survived with no serious injuries. He confronted and argued with both Whitebeard and Shanks, both of whom showed him respect.

He leads the escaped prisoners from impel down giving him a legit crew with dozens if not hundreds of former captains, not to mention all the pirates he recruited as a warlord.

Like yeah we as fans know he is a joke but to people in that world he has a crazy reputation. He was called a living legend as a warlord.

I don't think we will get another swerve like that.

I think it's more that Buggy still has an actual fleet and territory plus connections to Shanks and Roger.

and the Big Mom and Kaido crews are about to dissolve into infighting so he kind of is the logical pick in the world's view.
