The biggest novelty of 3D Classics Kirby's Adventure (and probably most/all NES games, although I haven't tried others) is being able to experience the original game in a flawless framerate, without any of the notorious NES lag. But you'd have to already be a fan of the original game to be able to both recognize and appreciate that change.

Wario Land was one of my important fundamental series growing up (WL2 was basically my introduction to "outside" games from what I was previously familiar with before getting a Game Boy) so I felt that writeup. I've been feeling that same pain since Brawl came out.

Super Kirby Clash (This is a Switch game, I think)

Welp I'm dumb, I meant Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, which came out in 2017. Super Kirby Clash is the Switch sequel which came out in 2019.

That being said, if you've either played SKC or plan on playing it later, you don't really need to play TKCD. While SKC is the better of the two, the gameplay experience is nearly identical, with the sequel basically just being a larger game with more levels and more gear (to be clear, it is all new content, it's not a 3DS port). But TKCD is somewhat obsolete to play after 2019, where the only reason to continue playing it is "you really like the Kirby Clash series and want even more levels to play" (I'm probably the biggest Kirby Clash fan on this board and I haven't touched the former since the latter came out).

The majority of its popular content came in free post-release updates (just like Animal Crossing, Splatoon, etc.) but people who stopped playing it before the updates love talking about how little content there is in the game.

About half of them are pretty good, but I don't have enough of a favorite to passionately rank one of them above the rest.

I'll let you in on this. You don't actually control your hair color in Splatoon. It's a dynamic color that changes in every match based on your team's color (which, in standard games, is randomly chosen from a whole bunch of team combinations). In the Splatfest it will always stay as your team's color (which in your case is yellow anyway).

Really hope you have fun with your first experience. I joined Splatoon 2 a year and a half into it, so now I get to watch as a newer generation of players starts their first Splatoon game. And I've never been here for the beginning of a new game so it will be new to me too even as a veteran.

They let you access the demo early to prepare your character and settings for when the actual event (the Splatfest) starts on Saturday.

I thought that you were able to at least access the training lobby so you could practice with the weapons, but I don't think you can even do that (unless I missed it). It looks like it's literally just open early to let you be ready to start playing the minute the Splatfest starts (and to hype people up for having a character and being able to walk around, so it's almost like you're playing the game).

DK would beat any human and I thought we already established this. There was a topic about fighting a whole football team and I think DK won that too. The only source of debate there was some people saying that they'd win because there were several dozens of them, which was required to even stand a chance against DK. A single person would get demolished no matter what.

Little Mac would also beat Rocky because he has the "cartoon physics" advantage in an otherwise even matchup, regardless of whether they were fighting in a video game world or in real life.

Mario is easily the most accessible. Platformers as a whole always have their own unique physics and mechanics (even within the same series), so someone playing SMB1 for the first time today shouldn't have any more trouble adjusting to it than they would to any other game in this style.

Zelda and Metroid definitely have that reputation (in modern times) of being "too puzzly" by old game standards, but I would say that Metroid is worse than Zelda in that particular regard. A new player could try to play Zelda and find it a hard game, but I think that most people on average would be more likely to get totally stuck in Metroid than in Zelda.

Old Wooper has the same mouth. It's just that for some reason the official artwork has him doing a smaller :o face. Most other forms of media show Wooper's mouth opening that wide, especially when he smiles (which is often).

The problem with the Nobody meme is that the template is completely pointless. You preface your punchline with the word "nobody" and then post the punchline on the next line. You could just... post the punchline as the joke. There is no sort of joke that actually requires the first line in order to set up. It's entirely used as a method to post one-liners in a format that needlessly takes up multiple lines.

Probably a lot of the ones from the 2007-2012 era were worse. Luckily most modern memes don't have any staying power so they're not as bad even if they're worse in a vacuum.
