Pixel 6 Pro camera also wasnt anything amazing either; the photos looked way too artificial and over-HDRd. Sometimes, mostly outdoor photos, it looked pretty nice; but most of the time, it looked way too over processed for my taste.

In addition, video recording really falls flat, and it felt like a cheap $300 phone when recording stuff on video. Zooming in and out wasnt smooth at all, and theres a noticeable jump in orientation when you switch lenses. Very amateur level in OS programming, which is strange coming from such a huge company as Google.

It's not that they make bad hardware, it's just that they've really shined at making good midrange devices while not doing flagship level ones particularly good.

The 6pro was their shot at a real flagship level device, and they definitely hit the mark for the most part. The issue was early adopters of the phone had to deal with a ton of bugs and issues other manufacturers dont have.

I completely disagree that they hit the mark for the most part. The whole phone was a disappointment.

I don't think being more stable is even something anyone would notice in 2022. It isn't as if Android is a buggy mess that crashes constantly. The user experience is very very good.

iMessage I'll grant, but RCS has really made the messaging experience on Android much better than it used to be. I just wish my preferred messaging app (Textra) was RCS compatible.

Android is buggy as hell, what are you talking about? With my Pixel 6 Pro:

• Apps frequently crash or look crappy,
• Launcher keeps crashing when PIP is enabled that they still didnt fix after a year,
• Signal is unstable leading to call failures,
• Dark mode is inconsistent and doesnt work sometimes even in google apps,

I can go on and on

RCS is not even a good tech; literally cant do more than half of what iMessages can do. Also, as you noted, very little apps even support RCS fresh out of the box. Its a shitty experience.

Facetime is the same issue with RCS; there is no default app that is on every android phone and this fragmentation makes it so that you need 472747263 different apps.

I guess this is the same thing with trump.

4g LTE goes like 100mbps in real world situations; why would we need 1gbps on our cellphones?

I fully intend to trade this POS Pixel 6 Pro for a iPhone 14 Pro this month once T-Mobile releases their new deals (assuming the Pixel 6 Pro will get the full highest value since it's a new phone). Also fully intend to upgrade the rest of the family's iPhone 11 Pros to the 14 or the 14 Pros, depending on the trade in deals (11 Pros are kinda old so they might not get the highest value, so maybe upgrade just to the normal 14 vs 14 Pro to save a buck).

Insider discount at 20% off (by getting an insider code from a T-Mobile employee; this is also regularly shared via reddit, where I got my code) and when we signed up, they had buy 2 lines get 1 free for life.

Then in 2020, during COVID, they were running numerous "add a line for free for life" (as you can see on my account) to pump up their numbers for shareholder meetings. Literally got 4 lines for free, making a total of 7 lines. I added my parents, and my parents in law because why not. The 7th line is now reserved for our firstborn already (the free A32 5G phone) when she gets old enough lol.

As for free phones, standard trade ins of existing phones to get them for free, except the A32 5G; I think that one was completely free.

As for home, at my house, because we live in a semi secluded area, all services suck until I drive like 5 minutes away to the bigger road. So for T-Mobile, we have a CellSpot at our house which uses our home Internet to broadcast a local signal. Works great for us

In the past (like a year-ish ago), these did not expire. You could decode the QR code to get the Dunkin Donuts gift card information, and just use it as a normal gift card. However, they "fixed" that.
