Are you sure? I swear I remember being able to prevent something by destroying a spell card. Like, they play it, I destroy it, their play is halted.

But I very well could be misremembering. Like I said, it has been a very long time since I've played.

How it is a melty when I'm explaining why people get frustrated when a turn in Yugioh takes ages. I didn't even complain or anything. Ya need to chill.

Most people getting into Yugioh Master Duel are casuals that most likely only watched up onto the Battle City (I'll also argue Duelist Kingdom) arc in Yugioh. Most have no idea how hyper fast the actual card game is and why cards each card effect always is a thesis level in length. The moment they introduced Synchro Summon, the game has been all about special summoning, card draws, and card searches. End game monsters tend to be beefy as shit with self-protection of some sort. The big reason is that Yugioh doesn't have anything to slow it down because it doesn't have the conventional "resource system" like most other TCG.

I just had a duel against a Tri-Brigade player that was absolutely hilarious. My opponent went first and set up an Apollousa with 3 negates, using only 4 summons so I couldn't use the Nibiru I had in my opening hand. When my turn came, I used a Harpie's Feather Duster to clear their backrow, but they chained Tri-Brigade Revolt to summon 4 monsters from their graveyard and then link summon them into some big rank 4 Tri-Brigade monster. That was 5 summons, enough to use Nibiru, but they still had Apollousa that could negate it.

I was using my Danger Kaiju deck, but I didn't open with a Kaiju. So what did I do? I activated Danger Bigfoot's effect, and my opponent negated it with Apollousa. Then I activated Danger Bigfoot's effect again, and my opponent negated it with Apollousa. Then I activated Danger Bigfoot's effect again, and my opponent negated it with Apollousa. And then, now that Apollousa was out of negates, I used Nibiru to clear the field.

He scooped immediately.

Also looks like a ps2 game, so the original $30 price tag is pretty insane
