I said this earlier in my Maxx C rant but to me Ash is infinitely more bearable than Maxx C, and part of it has to do with the nature of them. Ash can absolutely be abused but it's more of a balancer/reactor card, while Maxx C is an initiative card. Using Maxx C just makes the rich get richer, so to speak. Ash actually gives the player a chance against the current state of Yugioh, which yes Maxx C also does in its own way but the way it does is much harsher. There's a Yugioh-tuber person that put it better than me but that's my general gist of it.

Went to a local card shop tonight on a whim and picked up a few random packs

Ended up opening a Lightning Storm and an Ursarctic Radiation, the latter being the one card I wanted from the whole set it's part of and I got it in the first pack opened of that set

I mean I get that, just comes from the disconnect of it being banned in the TCG irl but OCG Japan is wildin and lets it run free. So being a TCG irl player that shit is wild to me lol

I immediately lose respect for a deck that uses Maxx C lol, sorry. Maxx C feels infinitely dirtier to me than Ash Blossom for some reason

my bullshit will have me go 0-2 but I think I can try, probably just for Modern right now

So, am I the only one who's noticed that since this came out there's been sort of an outburst of memes making fun of how yugioh is? It almost seems like this game has "exposed" to the public how absurd the game is right now, I see all sorts of memes and vids of "Going from duel links to MD be like" and such. One of my first online matches was against a Maldoche deck, it seemed alright
