Character development is the thing people misunderstand that most annoys me.

It seems like online, a disproportionate amount of people believe character development means someone needs to change or evolve over the course of the story, and unless someone does that theres no development.

The reality is no one has to change over the course of a story, the key to character development is just that a character gets fleshed out and seems like a real person. You could take the most boring, stock, brave hero archetype and not change the character at all over the course of a story, but so long as you explore motivations, how they react to different situations, speak to different people, and how they see and interact with the world you've developed that character into an actual person rather than a boring archetype.

You can be mad at her, but what's that gonna do if she herself doesn't care. Just gotta ditch her and forget her.

The people you should be mad at are your mutual friends, though. Someone had to have seen her tik toks if she's not keeping them secret, and not one of them told you a thing.

Saudi Arabia is a literal drop in the bucket for the box office. Disney won't censor this for them because they might lose 1% of a potential box office while getting to take the moral high ground and looking like the good guy to most of the world that will go see the movie.

If they actually censored it, the would likely lose a lot more money from people choosing not to see it than they would gain from releasing in Saudi Arabia.

Growing up, a lot of them didn't know or understand the technical definition of Atheism. They thought atheism = anti-religion, that it encompassed all things against religion. Even today you can find some people who thinks this way.

I think that it's just a young person thing. Honestly, young kids aren't the smartest and then when they become young adults they think they are so it leads to a lot of know it all's.

The same thing happens in abrahamic religions. Kids are taught parables and lessons but they don't really know the actual religion, and then when they become young adults they develop into holier than thou people because all they were taught were lessons and not the thoughts behind them.

I'm not gonna deny that some atheists are angry, however if they're angry at god itself and not the religion itself I'd question whether they're actively atheist since they're angry at a idea that is supposed to fictional.

In general, though, I don't believe most atheists are angry at god. If there's anger in their belief, then it's much more likely to be directed toward the religion and practices themselves, not the character in the sky they don't believe in.

Hair loss is something that 99.9% of women don't experience, especially at that level that alopecia will bring on. A huge percentage of men go bald and we still have crazy feelings tied to it, imagine being the one of a tiny percent of women that go bald.

That said, I feel for both dudes. At the end of the day, it's just a joke and Rock didn't deserve to get the shit slapped out of him on tv, but he still cut deep and Will Smith had a pretty natural defensive instinct kick in. Did he go overboard? Yeah, sure, but I get it. Defending a loved one is natural.

Star Wars movies are made primarily for kids and succeed there for the most part (Phantom Menace being the exception, because holy fuck what kind wants to watch a boring movie about trade blockades?).

Like most kid movies, they vary in quality for adults, but who cares because adults aren't who they're for. Like, I loved AotC as a kid. Seeing Yoda fight with a lightsaber was super cool to my 12 year old mind. As an adult that movie sucks, but I don't go online complaining about it because I'm not that movie's target audience at all.

All the prequels did their job, and that was to make George Lucas more money by making kids want to buy toys and video games, and the sequels did their job in making kids want to buy toys and video games. Being good for adults that aren't buying the merch is entirely secondary to these movies.

Not having to pay a depleted wait staff wasn't making up for that because they physically couldn't serve enough people.

Nice try. I deployed to Balad as a SrA and Chabelley as a SSgt. Almost none of us were allowed to go to Afghanistan and Balad returned to Iraqi use shortly after I left.

Like, I can probably go back now and play Good/Silver and still have a hard time beating Whitney and her fucking miltank. Where is that challenge?

At least Arceus has some difficulty. Even the wild Pokemon will wipe you easily if you're not careful.
