It was never there to begin with unless it was bred out over the years if they make the show canon or they died before having any children.

If he shot at the robber on foot they guy likely robbed him at gun point. There is no reason he shot at the pick up truck as he clearly only guessed his target was inside and was clearly wrong.

Some of us gun owners take the safety rules very seriously.

It sucks he got robbed but after his first shot at the guy while he was on foot should have been the end of it. He is responsible for every bullet and thinking the guy got in a pick up truck does not cut it for risking a shot.

This gun clearly did not know where his target was and should have not fired anymore shots not knowing who exactly was in that pick up truck.

Throw the book at him and make sure he serves hard time for such stupidity that costs not just a life but a childs life.

A responsible gun owner and someone practicing self defense would never have fired that second shot.

If you do not like what you see then do not watch the show.
