It depends on why they don't like it. If they are ranting about inclusion or female empowerment, then those negative comments are fair game. If they are simply critical of the directing, writing, acting, not funny/emotional/gripping (depending on genre) then of course their opinion is as valid.

The lengths articles go to for clickbait is sad. Married? I mean, technically, but they used that word to make it sound like even more of a scandal.

The first episode was slow but promising, the second was even slower and borderline unnecessary, but then the third was incredible. I feel like this should have been one hour long episode instead of three 40 minute ones. The first 2 episodes could easily have been done in 30 minutes and then continue with episode 3 nearly intact. That would have been incredible. As it was, the first 2 episodes kinda ended with nothing moments. I don't need action per se (as House of the Dragon proves) but I need something.

So I am still on the fence. If it now stays episode 3 quality, this will be great.

But as mentioned by others, the quality of this show is incredible, especially the acting and the production design. I am so tired of movies and TV shows that look like videogames, and yes that criticism is leveled at most of Marvel and Star Wars. This show looks real.

Nice (well, not "nice") to see the women here jump in. Fuck TC and others who question the prevalence. Mod me if you want, I don't fucking care.

Nothing too descriptive just wanted to hear more than a yeah a few times response lol. Good for you though. Date 5 needs to be at your place alone with her though so you can start to be more intimate with her before she gets bored. Unless shes really the celibate type and wants to take it really slow.

Agree, you might as well offer to meet at your place next. Ideal if you can cook for her and pair it with some wine. Now if she would rather have a date outside the home, that might be a sign she wants it slower.

Not so bad to my knowledge, although they were pretty miserable for a week or two. Oh yeah, my sister also got it before that, a month or two. Also not so bad. Everyone has the vaccine though, but considering how many people don't it's hard to say it's over when it spreads that much still and they're at much greater risk.

In all honesty, I really don't have any sympathy for those who choose not to get the vaccines. But I do feel really bad about those who have certain medical conditions that prevent them from getting the vaccines.

Doesn't feel over when two friends of mine and my father all got it within the last month and a half.

But how sick did they get? My fiance and I got it in June and I know several others in the last few months. All of us are heavily vaccinated and it was all basically the flu. I know it occasionally is still worse, but rare for vaccinated individuals.

The only result that is clearly true from the data is that education has been disrupted. But we knew it would be. That was a known.

But the point is not that we should all isolate forever. Just that we should enact policies that actually fix issues, like mandated vaccination. That we shouldn't pretend like something has meaningfully changed about the spread of the disease when it hasn't. And that we shouldn't prop up monetary gains over health.

Okay, we agree somewhat here then, as I thought you were arguing for isolation. I am getting the new booster next week and the flu shot as well. Not sure how mandating would work, but I wish it could happen.

This has been the rallying cry since day 1, mostly by people insistent on ignoring reality.

The Biden admin has been pushing for premature reductions of covid restrictions for the sole purpose of trying to normalize the economy, as it was clear that the economy was this admins biggest political risk.

Don't use the argument that alt righters were using this stance since the beginning. The vast majority of this country, including most liberals like myself, believe that things have changed enough over the last year that we longer have to isolate forever. And you know what? The economy matters, as it impacts people's well being. Isolation destroys lives as well, for many reasons. The situation sucks, but balance is needed.

When I was "chill" I was "boring". Or not ambitious enough. Or childish. Or whatever. Being comfortable with myself personally never worked for me when it came to attracting people. I might have overdone it this year as I do annoy partners with always having to do something now, In terms of challenging oneself. But they keep coming back no matter how pissed off they get with me. They don't forget about me. I am a little toxic about it but my partners seem to prefer that than me just "chilling". I've had chick's block me then unblock me and we end up smashing again. Whatever I'm doing is working as last weekend on Sunday I slept with two different women (one I woke up with and one I went to bed with)

Being chill has nothing to do with being boring and has nothing to do with your activities or your ambition. Being chill is an energy you bring. Like I am going out to karaoke tonight which is a thing some women find fun and interesting. But I am still chill in terms of bringing positive energy and being relaxed while also confident. I have had lots of women approach me at karaoke, but I am taken :)

But is it working for you? Are these the women you want?

You would think so, but what women say they want and what they often go for is not the same. I think this is true for men as well, where they often end up with someone they don't state they were going for.

I know you don't mean "chill" as in sex, as you get that. Do you mean a woman who "is chill"? I know they exist, as everyone talks about how easy going my fiance is. I also think a lot of it is learning how to be more chill myself. You often attract the energy you give.

It honestly feels like people over complicate dating advice. If a guy want to have more success dating, then he has to start working on himself. You dont have to learn how to play the game or anything. Be more well groomed, start exercising and living a healthier lifestyle, go out and socialize, start branching out hobby wise, dress better, and so on.

I started changing myself around 2018 by doing the above. The change wont happen overnight. Itll take some time but nowadays, I dont really have trouble dating anymore. In fact, many of my IRL friends have started coming to me for dating advice since I supposedly date attractive women.

If I had stayed stagnant and not changed myself, then I would have never found the dating success Ive had. You dont have to change who you are fundamentally as an individual. Im still more of a quiet and reserved man like how I was years ago. However, people approach me far more often in public these days to talk to me or at the gym to ask for lifting advice. Women will approach me(in public) showing initial interest in me. For many of the women Ive gone out with, they were the ones who approached me and asked for my social media or number. I didnt have to try to court them or anything.

Again, none of this would have happened if I had not taken the necessary steps to better my life and work on myself. You really don't have to worry about challenging women or showing dominance or try not to be boring or whatever the fuck some people like to spout in order to be successful at dating. Yes, socializing can be difficult for some but youll never get better at it if you dont try. Yes, itll take some time to see results from exercise but youll never see those results if you dont stay consistent. Taking care of your appearance is easier said than done but people will notice and youll be better off in the long run.

If you just make an effort improving yourself as an individual, then youll start to see more success in life in general. It took two years for me to start seeing results. Having patience, being consistent with your effort, and never giving up is key.

Oh my God, no. Two of the worst because they are waaaaay too indebted to the books. They didn't realize that straight adaptations don't work. Books and movies work differently.

So many guys here claim they arent attractive and say they have no chance. I generally call BS. I am going to use the 1 to 10 number system for this post even though I hate it. Attractiveness is subjective and also impacted by things like mannerisms, speech, eye contact, etc. But for the sake of simplicity

Most guys can easily have their number change by 2 or 3 points by stuff that is easy to control. I see pics of guys here who have scraggly hair, neckbeards and oversized t-shirts and then they claim they are like a 3. Well, yeah, you are. Get a proper haircut, shave that nasty stuff (nice beard is fine, I have one), and wear better clothes. T-shirts can be okay, but drop it down a size. Even if you are heftier, a tighter t-shirt looks better and exudes more confidence than a wall of fabric. You arent kidding anyone with that oversize shirt. Point is, that 3 can become a 5 or 6. That can be enough to attract some women.

Longer term, guys can improve their attractiveness even more by getting in shape (which also gives confidence) and learning more social skills. As I said, a lot of attractiveness in-person is based on mannerisms, speech, eye contact, etc.

So I dont like hearing you arent attractive enough. I see plenty of ugly guys who do well. Why? They are well groomed, dress well, have social skills, and are self-confident.

That doesnt seem to be what most people do. Still, I think youre better off working it out on your own. You cant really get specific in a way that can be generalised to the whole of a gender, so its a bit pointless.

I kinda agree. I do agree that giving exact tactics might not be great, as everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and their targets (for lack of a better word) are also all individuals and desire different things.

But there is advice that can be given about self improvement and one's presentation. I also think it can be helpful for guys to maximize their chances by trying a mix of things like online dating and in-person events (Meetup) and striving to become more social and having friend groups. Not all of those things work for everyone, but I think they are all worth a shot.

I am going to see the re-release. I have AMC A-list, so seeing movies is "free" for me.

In terms of nothing in the theaters, I recommend The Woman King, Pearl and Barbarian. I am also going to see Don't Worry Darling despite the poor reviews. Then Bros and Amsterdam are both in the next couple weeks and look great, for very different reasons.

That just differs from person to person and shouldn't be judged. Personally, I have had sex on first or second dates, but it also took around 8 dates with my now fiance. I think at least kissing is important early on to test for some level of chemistry, but not worry too much beyond that. Make sure everyone is comfortable.

As someone who has never stopped being himself, never tries to hide who he is, doesnt play games or put on an act: its never worked in my favor. And the worst part? I actually really like who I am.

So you can imagine how much of a mindfuck it is to constantly be being told well you just need to be yourself, and things will fall into place and have it never work lol.

So my options are be Forever Alone or completely reinvent myself in my mid-30s?

I always say to be the best version of yourself. That might mean improving yourself physically, socially or trying out new interests. You should branch out and learn new things. Now don't do activities that you hate and don't change your morals, but you can change yourself and still be yourself.

I reinvented myself at 40 so don't use your age as an excuse.

The problem with the straight up sitcom episodes is that they aren't very funny. I used to watch Ally McBeal back in day, and there is no one half as funny as Peter MacNicol or Greg Germann.
