I really do believe it was the rushed nature of the film that didn't allow her to more comfortably step into the role. Everyone else had time to rehearse and get into character, she was just basically thrown into it. Then they compounded on that by trying to make Carol a wise-cracking sarcastic jerk. But that only works for Tony, not so much for a cosmic super powered cop. They didn't write the character correctly at all, and I don't think any actor could have really done much better than Larson with the material provided.

We'll see soon enough though, since those excuses won't apply for the upcoming film. This will be her real moment of truth.

Holdo is like my favorite Marvel character though

Captain Marvel was just a basic movie and rushed as all hell. They scrambled to get it out before Endgame and it hurt both movies a little because of it.

But no it isn't bad by any means. Brie Larson is a fine choice to play the character, she just could have used more time practicing the role. Hopefully it will be remedied in the sequel.

The 'issue' with TLJ was that, due to Rian Johnson the film was completely different than what Abrams planned and therefore ruined the entire trilogy.

its weird to me how much people care about two movies that are like... fine? Like, even if you dont like them, neither is the worst thing in their series. they dont deserve this much attention.

Some people are just way less reasonable. I never understood how anyone could take fictional stories so seriously that they'd be willing to threaten creators over it. And I spend most of my time in fantasy worlds.

I haven't even played Three Houses but I've been loving this. Granted I skim through the story, but I'm still picking up on some things. Though I have wondered exactly how this game fits, is it an alternate timeline?

Probably will give Three Houses another shot after I'm done with this game, currently on ng+ which is brilliantly implemented. Nintendo really out does themselves with every new musou they develop and it's rather refreshing

Who told you to say this and why

She was an alternate universe version of Peggy, not the one you saw in Agent Carter. Her brief appearance should not cause you to suddenly hate the character overall. That's absurd.

Disney isn't for real all that great at writing stories. Their movies and shows are carried by style and actor/voice charisma.

Easily 2. It has the most balanced Insanity mode. Things get too easy in 3 with how overpowered you can be. Not that it's bad, I enjoy powerful characters and the multiplayer was a TON of fun (really wish they would bring it back). Overall though, ME2 feels like a much tighter experience, in gameplay as well as story. Also characters.

I've always been an odd mix of their personalities. All of my best qualities I get from my dad, the other less favorable aspects of myself come from mom. Thankfully I'm way more open minded than her.

They don't bother me and I sometimes even enjoy them. I'm rather impervious to most loud bang sounds, at least the typical ones that you would encounter in life (balloons popping, thunder, fireworks, gunshots, etc.)

Pokemon Marvel and DC

Could lead to some balancing issues, Pokemon DC's legendaries would be way too powerful.

I'm not sure how that's supposed to matter, there wasn't going to be a continuation of RotJ in the first place.

He didn't wear black in TLJ. But since a lot of silly fans didn't enjoy his portrayal in that movie, Disney tried to course correct as they do, and gave him the black outfit to appease those people. They had no thematic elements in mind, it's just hollow fanservice.

No it's just because that's what he was wearing in RotJ. And considering how he ended up I don't see where any "dark side foreshadowing" could come into play.

But I believe his black outfit was supposed to represent him finding a balance in both sides of the Force. So in that case yes he would still have some dark side in him.

Correct. Apokolips War was the extremely brutal ending and sendoff to the New 52 line of animated movies. It ends with Flash resetting the timeline. Leaving way for the following movies to do whatever they want. They don't seem to have a connected continuity, at least not yet.

I do somewhat recommend Apokolips War btw. I'm not sure it's all that great, but it's entertaining in a doom and gloom kind of way if you're in the mood for it.

Pretty sure it'll be everyone's first time seeing Jon in a movie. He hasn't appeared in any of the shows as far as I know either.

It does, the opening crawl mentions rebel spies stealing the plans in their first victory against the Empire. Granted it doesn't say anything about whether they died or not.

No pressure! I think memento-ing the sequel trilogy would be quite the interesting experience, wish I could do it for myself but there aren't any movie forgetting devices invented yet. So I'll just have to rely on willing individuals to experience it for me.

What if I could find someone who's pure to watch all 9 movies backwards...? A real life The Chosen One I'd say.

Solo is great. Turn your brain off and enjoy the adventure, it's just good old fashioned Star Wars fun for the most part. Yeah it's got some issues like terrible lightning and some questionable script decisions, but let's not pretend that we ignore the first hour of Rogue One which is a mess. We all still love that movie though.

You might still offer some valuable intel if you skip straight to the 9th movie and tell me your thoughts. Then go back and watch 7 and 8 and record more of your thoughts here (or 8 then 7, get crazy if it suits you).

If you're up to the task, I would certainly like as many fresh eyes on this as I can get!

I feel like you'll be completely confused by everything going on if you watch Episode IX in isolation because it's basically a culmination of the other eight movies and is sort of dependent on the viewer being familiar with them.

Also a good point. I think it might have enough spectacle for someone to enjoy it even if they can't follow the story... maybe?

That is true.

But someone who has never seen any of the movies will see this last one with a fresh set of eyes with no (edit: little) knowledge of anything prior. That is the specific perspective I am looking for.

I have a silly request of you. Watch Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker -- only that one, and tell me if you like it. I'm interested to know if it's a good movie on its own, I have too much bias to determine for myself.
