I think a big part of why I enjoyed it was Sandman. Even if that specific twist to his character isnt great, I thought he was portrayed really well and his powers were so cool to see on the big screen.

Sandmans definitely one of my favorite Spider-Man villains in the comics, so it was a big plus for me

my recollection of Thor 2 is it was the opposite of fun

those first two Thors were mostly kinda boring

I think I liked DD. I dont really remember it very well, but I do remember being sort of surprised whenever I first saw people calling bad in modern discussions

but I havent seen it since it came out and I was like 14 then so maybe I was just dumb and its not good. I dont care enough to watch it again.

also tangentially, I genuinely really enjoyed Spider-Man 3 when I saw it opening night, so I think teen me was just excited to see any Marvel thing that wasnt egregiously bad (Elektra and X3 were bad enough for me to not enjoy them)

my hope is they introduce him in his own film/series first and leave him out of the first actual X-Men movie entirely. Maybe make him the post-credits scene, but focus the film on Cyclops and the gang

The worst part is theres no telling what is even safe. Will the DC animated library just disappear? So much uncertainty. Ive seen nearly all of the DC animated movies on there at least so thats good. They just added Constantine: The House of Mystery which is a collection of a few shorts this month. I gotta see that still. Fuck I gotta watch all of Young Justice (it was way too long a gap between when it was brought back for me to remember anything) since thats an HBO Max Original too according to their app.

I think anything relatively older that WB owns should be safe, because its way too late to do any kind of tax write-off thing with them

like I dont see why they would take down Adventure Time. the series ended a few years ago and aired on an actual tv network, so I cant imagine theres any way to write it off as a loss at this point.

Magneto transcends just being a villain. He doesnt have to be the primary antagonist of the movie, but you cant introduce mutants and Xavier without introducing Magneto too. Or at least you shouldnt, I think.

same thing with Doom. The FF movie doesnt need him to be the main villain, but they should introduce him into the universe as soon as possible. Both of these guys are the sort to show up in stuff that isnt just their heroes movies.

Theres been a pattern for a few years now of them having a Pokmon spin-off release in the early part of the year. (MD DX, Snap, Arceus). so I bet theres something being worked on that theyre just not announcing yet.

that guy was an interesting case. Early on they show his casual antisemitism and you think uh oh, but then he ends up looking like a genuinely good dude during his interactions with fake grandpa, and he gets really sincere and emotional by the end... and then hes just gone.

hes maybe one of the most normal people Nathan has ever had on a show. A little ignorant, but generally well meaning and no super out there quirk.

some of this stuff looks maybe neat, but I need to see some reviews before I decide on them (Cult of the Lamb, Saints Row, MFE, maybe Rollerdrome and 2 Point also)

SMRPG is only a little weird because until Bowsers Castle the good guys think Exor is Smithy (I think)

but the existence of a dude named Smithy behind the scenes is very well established before you meet him

it strikes me as pointless when Song already de facto owns them in the war between Sony and Microsoft. If you want Squares stuff, youre probably on Playstation already. Just doesnt seem like a super meaningful loss for Xbox.

Aside from the issues with actually introducing them, allegedly theres some contracts with producers at 20th Century Fox (and maybe actors?) that wont run out for a while still, so Marvel Studios and/or Disney dont want to do a new movie before those expire.

which honestly I am very ok with, because the MCU is already pretty dang crowded. even with all the projects they put out, we still go years between appearances of major characters

The thing about Shang-Chi, Guardians, and Black Panther is that the main characters already have low-tier superhero powers at the start of the film, so they don't really ping as standard superhero origins to me, all of those characters already kick ass. I guess you'd call Shang-Chi an origin story since they do talk about his past and how he became crazy good at martial arts, and Guardians is an origin story because it's how the team got together

Shang Chi is definitely an origin story because its the origin of him becoming an active superhero, even if its not exactly the origin of him being good at fighting (although we see that too in flashbacks)

like before the movie starts hes just hanging out as a dude named Shawn, and then we see him become super hero guy Shang-Chi

Theyve been one of my favorite bands for basically my whole life.

when you hit level 15 with a character you unlock a badge that shows your wins with that character

but its glitched so I just have this badge that perpetually says I have 0 wins with Jake

also you can see your other win totals and it somehow says I have 1 win with Arya even though I have not played as Arya even once

I guess Im mostly just wondering if we count 3DS still, because if not then that opens the list up to basically every portable Nintendo game
