I would imagine it just gets switched to "2 badges and you can have pokemon up to lv 20 or 30 obey you" and it just won't matter what badges you get.

Get to a high level area and just toss Pokeballs at the wild Pokmon, not even weakening them, you'll eventually snag something dramatically stronger than your baby party. If Quick Balls are available it's even easier.

I'm expecting the Gen 8 approach of literally not being able to catch pokemon if they're too high a level. Not to mention the Gen 8 "higher level pokemon are basically impossible to catch" change to the catching mechanics.

I'm kind of like 50/50 Glasses v. Contacts. Mostly just due to general laziness - its way easier to grab my glasses than put my contacts in some days, especially now that its not really that common to wear a mask that would make wearing my glasses infuriating.

Beyond meat is legit really good. Would recommend even if you aren't looking for like a veggie option.

I like them. They're cheap and easy enough to distinguish that you can tell clearly what they are, but also that they're a certain brand. Its cool and I like em.

The bobbleheads can go **** off though, same with all the POP's of female characters who can't stand right because of the mismatched weight.

Its like asking why people liked beanie babies. They're just neat. They aren't valuable by any means, but they're neat. Not to mention basically every single remotely popular thing that comes out gets some Funko Pops, how else am I supposed to show that I enjoyed the 2016 Mummy movie with Tom Cruise?

It is entirely beneficial. If they can make the EGS an actual Steam competitor, it will probably be able to bring in money similar to Fortnite or Fall Guys. Its just a long-term goal since they have to eat into Steam's basically 100% market share.

Unless Epic spectacularly fails, they're choosing to use their Fort Guys money to get more money in the future when Fortnite and Fall Guys may have lost their appeal.

Fortnite probably does more than enough to cover it. Not to mention Fall Guys now.

Epic has a lot of work to do to actually try to get people away from Steam, given its been the only real game client on PC for a really long time.

This was similar to what Amazon did in the early 2000s - they don't care about books, they just want to develop a big-ass network they can run the market through as they move into other things.

New York State legally had to legally be given access to them sometime last year, but stalling that one as much as possible is another thing Trump's legal team is actually trying to do.

We probably won't actually get to see Trump face consequences for what I would imagine to be very obvious cases of fraud and **** until he names himself dictator or America (or someone else does and pardons him for everything)

Yeah, even though I still associate Veronica Taylor with Ash since I haven't really watched Pokemon since mid-to-late Hoenn, it's crazy to think that Sarah's been voicing him for much longer (along with the rest of the post-4Kids cast).

It's crazy how 4Kids just let their golden goose go, but maybe TPC also had something to do with it. Either way, I feel that 4Kids never quite recovered after they lost Pokemon.

Pokemon may have just been too expensive given its wild success. They probably got a great deal given the anime is a big part that launched Pokemon's huge success. And they were getting into financial trouble around the time they let go of pokemon, so maybe they just couldn't keep it.

Not a huge fan of the mobile-phone graphics, and way too many of the "not pokemon" games try to differentiate themselves with the dark and edgy story - and is often bad because of it.

Still looks pretty cool, will probably buy on sale.

I have seen... literally nothing Krysten Ritter has done but its quite a bit so I'm sure it'll be cool.

Orphan Black was pretty good, I'm looking forward to a new show.

Its worth noting that the vast majority of people forming this party are people from the Trump administration, the Bush administration, etc... its mostly just republicans trying to pretend conservative policies are perfectly fine as long as its more polite.

Did you miss the huge wave of leaks like a week ago? Those were all expected to be true. I mean, not a lot of art, but just text gets you a way to get your hopes up.

Anyways, the big leaks usually don't come until like a week or two beforehand when some mom and pop shop accidentally puts the game out early so someone can rip the whole game to the internet.

The Democratic Party has a massive identity crisis, with people of all sorts of conflicting ideology. You've got everything from genuine leftists, liberals, centrists and even moderate Republicans who've been forced out by the GOP's rhetoric.

Don't forget most Americans have basically been indoctrinated to think their vote is basically worthless and should really expect basically nothing to change in their day-to-day lives, so there is a huge barricade to actually getting anyone to y'know, care.

It literally takes someone comedically over the top and like comedically evil dominating basically every facet of their lives to actually get people to care enough to vote.

To override a filibuster, its always taken a 3/5 majority (or 60 votes) - so even if the democratic senate would like to push a new bill through with their 51 votes, a republican can "filibuster" and because they don't have 60, the bill will never pass.

The mood regarding the filibuster in recent decades has been "fine lets just move on then" meaning you don't need to stand there on a soapbox for 3 straight days to stop the bill. It was heavily strengthened starting in the 1970s (?) under the idea that the Senate you know, has better things to do with their day than let someone stand on a soapbox all day. However this instead made the filibuster vastly stronger and basically guaranteed a "controversial" bill wouldn't pass.

This means that while you only technically need 51 votes to pass a bill, you really need a 60% majority.

It's weird to go after Gay Marriage because even a lot of Republicans are for it. From talking to a lot of my republican leaning friends, they said they're okay with it because it's not "intrusive" like a lot of the trans issues like forcing them to learn new pronouns and what not. A lot of the fearmongering back in 2008 with Prop 8 was that they're going to force kids to become gay and all that when that hasn't been true at all since it was legalized in 2015.

They have to set up the new bad guy - preferably a group a little bigger than trans people so they can keep their base riled up and hateful as long as possible - since that's needed for the grift to work.

They got rid of the "just talk and talk" section of the filibuster years ago. Its literally just "if you don't have 60 votes, we'll just scrap it".

When you see a conservative doing a "filibuster" and talking for hours on end, they're doing it for PR.

This actually wasn't that strange a thing. Bernie and Trump are both populists pushing the very obvious fact that the system is broken and they can fix it. When Bernie lost a lot of people moved to Trump who was saying the same thing but had a different solution. Because Hilary and Biden didn't offer a solution to that, just the idea the other guy was much worse.

Just another part of the "push you right" grift.

He just is being taken advantage of by right-wing grifters who see how they can take advantage of his platform, most of the left-wing ones are way less likeable, and Rogan is starting to drink the Kool-aid he's constantly being given. Covid 100% helped push this along fast.

Times like this kind of just show he kind of knows its happening and gets defensive when its brought up.

RNC wont let him be on the ticket in 2024 tbh. Even if they believed he COULD win (he wouldnt), there's more value in having someone potentially for 8 years than him for 4 and needing a new person in 2028

Even if Trump ran (and won) again, there's no reason he wouldn't just stick around. Even before the 2020 election he was pitching just ignoring term limits and nobody really bat an eye at it.

But Trump has done his job of riling the base up to extremist levels. The RNC needs like, someone who isn't a total idiot to finish their actual plan of like, ending democracy and returning to serfdom.

Probably Kang the Conqueror and general multiverse shenanigans. Still really in a phase similar to 1 where they aren't building up to anything and just introducing a bunch of new characters

They cant keep this pace for much longer. What will they do when they run out of arcs to adapt. Sure theyll create new ones, but most of those stories were decades in the making.

They've got a couple big arcs to still go through and not have any trouble. by the point they finish they can probably just remake them and nobody would mind much (in addition to another like 20 years of comics to adapt)

Not to mention most MCU arcs are kind of barely (if at all) based on comic arcs - they can tell whatever they want as long as a character isn't dead elsewhere. They can probably transplant some Iron Man/Captain America/whatever stories onto different characters too.
