Twitter has rules about using the wrong pronoun to refer to someone.
Canada passed a law about using the wrong pronoun to refer to someone.
There are videos of trasns people getting upset about being referred to with the wrong pronoun.

I can't begin to fathom why it matters let alone when so maybe a trans person should explain it. I just think it would be helpful if there was some agreement of what aspect of a person pronouns reffer to.

You make a good point. I'm going to change my position on this issue. It's not that people don't agree with the underlying premise behind it. It's that any disagreement is an attack whether someone exists instead of considering what the disagreement really is.

Yes, people who are trans exist. Being trans doesn't change their biological composition.

I very much disagree with that. Several times he has replaced my actual argument with something he would rather argue about instead. Then told me I was arguing against a position no one holds. There was one time he demanded I prove something I wasn't even that committed to and the only way to prove it would have been to interview the people involved.

That wouldn't fit the analogy though. Trump was being briefed on measures that could help the situation. He didn't just ask the question out of nowhere. He was responding to something that was said to him regarding the thing he asked about.

The rule changes regarding mail in voting were in dispute. Court cases regarding the election results were thrown out, not on merit but for other reasons, leaving those matters unresolved. At least in Pennsylvania the mail in voting was found to be unconstitutional. These leave the unaddressed potential that a sitting president was removed through illegal or unconstitutional means. If that potential were to turn out to be what actually happened what would you call it?

I've heard people use it both ways. For example If you fight with someone that could mean you and that person are fighting each other, or it could mean you are fighting alongside that person against someone else.

I find the second usage more confusing.

Not on the election process, on the extent to which foreign powers had influenced the outcome. The Mueller investigation wasn't looking at election security, it was looking at efforts to manipulate voters.

I consider that to be part of the election process. Similar to how democrats suppressed information about Biden's dealings in Ukraine and the laptop.

The problem is the Electoral College. Which did stray from the popular vote in one of those two elections.

Those were the rules and they were agreed to beforehand. However, in one of those elections the rules were changed in ways that there wasn't agreement over.

I think so too. But they argued that the development of the vaccine was rushed and it hadn't been thoroughly tested. So if you were someone who agreed with them then, it was still true when they were the ones who mandated it.

I don't want to require that someone watch an 11 minute interview just to see the 30 seconds that I'm talking about. The point is that democrats expressed distrust in the federal government and argued for "vaccine hesitancy" before it was even made available. I think a longer video where they talk about several issues would only distract from that point.
