Another thing is the older you get the more you see your one and only first playthrough's end closing in on you too. It's extremely rare but about a year ago I achieved the I don't want it to be over thing with a game. It's like they actively want to agree with the villain but the justification didn't come packaged with it. It's kind of soured me on the idea, I'd rather have an exceedingly pathetic or petty villain than the guy with a noble cause who lost his way and either finds redemption or recognises that he's too far gone. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

As for Gary, Johto was a while ago and they had become pals last time I checked so I don't think it'd need to be competitive, it'd be a full circle/for old times kind of thing. It just feels like a good note to end on. Or swap protags or whatever. I was flicking through a bunch of openings trying to glean anything about how to draw people without going overboard on the anime style and I ended up liking a bunch. Jayce and the wheeled warriors and Ulysses 31 were the best. That King Arthur cartoon had a pretty good one, Galaxy Rangers was okay, Mega Man was already posted. Also Pokemon World randomly found its way back to me recently, the 2nd Pokemon theme that sounds like the early 00s. I like it. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

| ViewtifulJoe 09/15/22 12:30:07 AM #17 | I don't like it. My first thought is what I saw happen to TF2 animations over the past few years. They added these tools a while ago where you make the keyframes and it approximates frames between them to create a fluid albeit robotic looking animation. It was lauded as a great help to new animators and a way to speed up/foolproof the animation process. Skip a few years and now the overwhelming majority of videos look the same and completely lack personality. There are of course people who aren't relying on it but even those rub me the wrong way because bringing production values to a dumb fad always signals more that the creator is in it for the YT views than the entertainment value. Even worse there's now AI voices, grainy, robotic sounding text to speech versions of the TF2 voices. I think the sentence mixing was key to those videos so now that they have a text to speech system, I'm already seeing things going downhill. More generic meme recitations as dialogue, a complete lack of inflection, people uploading conversations between characters instead of bothering with the videos. Removing the creativity and trusting computers with the whole task is a horrible idea. I find flaws a lot more endearing than glitches. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

Xeno 2 has all the timelines spun round and movie villains included. Xeno 2 took me a while to max out and I was going at it pretty hard so there's some mileage. Edit: And for the record a lot of that is grinding. Grinding for dragon balls to get the wish exclusive unlocks, grinding your level to max on each race, grinding your friendship with all your mentors up to max, grinding for outfits, grinding for the infinity sign title, grinding for unlockable moves, grinding for TP medals to either use the TP shop or to spin the wheel and try to get figures for the spirit breaking figure battle minigame. It was fun though, it becomes this meditative thing after a while, that you can sit down and occupy yourself with while you listen to something in the back. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

Was that random flavor text from the original game or is that a clue to something new in the game? The DS game had a witch, could be that.
