Texas, Florida, and possibly others are in the beginning stages of a cultural genocide. And if courts can't hold them back, executions are on the table for women who get abortions and any adult who supports a trans child. Their desire to push LGBTQ people back into the closet and brand them as pedophiles and their existence as sexually explicit and inappropriate will lead to depression and suicide. My parents expressed mostly confusion when I came out 3 years ago (to announce my engagement to my then-girlfriend-now-wife). But they eventually learned to, if nothing else, keep their beliefs to themselves. I'm sure they don't actually approve, but they at least pretend to, and I can tolerate that.

It's so weird because my mom would never think I'm a pedophile or that I was somehow influenced by far-left saboteurs at school. She absolutely still loves me even if she thinks I'm "making a poor choice". Yet she'll nod along knowingly if someone says that shit on the radio. Logical inconsistencies that make my head hurt are nothing for a Republican voter.
