As a vegan I would try this. It doesnt look appetizing, but its good to have another option other than a burger at fast food chains. It is a slight annoyance when these fast food restaurants come out with plant based food items and then add cheese or mayo to them.

Usually semi trucks piss me off the most because of how slow they are and how often they cut people off. Then I remember they basically own the road since they live on it and it takes longer for them to pick up speed and have more blind spots.

I usually see motorcyclists as the aggressors on the road, but overall see more aggressive motorists. Motorcyclists make me the most nervous though.

Ah yes, not like it happens EVERY DAY that you get late pickup fees at the daycare, or risk getting fired at your second job, or get marked absent for college classes that cost several hundred dollars a credit hour, or have a small child scared and confused because nobody is home and the house is still locked.

Get over YOUR self. Just because those minutes have never been a big deal to you doesn't mean they can't be a big deal to somebody else. That is the EPITOME of privilege and you're fucking blind to it.

You're being overdramatic lol. I bet you think youve got me all figured out cause I dont care about staying after work a few minutes.

This is where you're wrong. Yes, they do have a responsibility to me, and to my employees, and that responsibility is simple: don't be a fucking douchebag when you know we're closed. It's real simple. You're being too much of an apologist. It's okay to admit customers are assholes.

They are assholes. I disagree they have a responsibility to you though. Youre on the clock and accepting their money. You were wrong to let them in and that we can agree on lol

Well, yeah, I know better now. But it's also the customer's responsibility to not be a deceitful asshat when a store supervisor is being gracious enough to let him in after the doors have already been locked in the first place. We established a social contract.

"We're closed."
"I only need to get a roll of blue tape."
"OK, I'll let you in very quickly so you can get the tape."

As soon as that person starts looking for other items, the deal is broken and he can fuck right off. I don't give a shit who disagrees with me. It's my call as the supervisor. I giveth, I taketh away.

This is why I said the retail world can make people cynical as you get wrapped up in it. The customer doesnt have a responsibility to you since theyre giving you their business. Its entitlement yeah I agree and its also human behavior since you could have told them no and they would had gone somewhere else. I get wanting to rant about it though.

Besides the fact that, to reiterate, even though I personally wouldn't mind much staying after a few minutes if I was the only one in the store, as the supervisor it is my obligation to look out for my employees. People have personal lives outside of work, relationships, responsibilities, what it might be. I'm not going to make over half a dozen people sit around twiddling their thumbs because some jackass who couldn't even be bothered to google or call first to see when we close wants to walk around the store for $0.10 bolts. Fuck outta here.

Yeah, but its also not a big deal. You made the choice to let the customer in and ultimately the responsibility you feel over your employees is on you not the customer you let in. Doesnt change the fact that the customer is entitled, but also doesnt make you innocent either. Its more of a you should have known better type of situation. No offense. Its human behavior.

none of that contradicts anything I've said.

You've clearly never had somewhere you HAVE to be with a strict deadline immediately after work. You've never had to race to the daycare after work to make sure you don't get charged extra fees you can't afford for a late pickup, or get your second job or your classes straight from work with barely enough time to commute, let alone feed yourself on the way. You've clearly never had to race home because your spouse's car is in the shop and they need yours to get to their job on time.

You assume those few minutes are just the first few of wide open personal time because, like I said, your life has never ACTUALLY been busy.

Thats a weird melty youre having. Those extra few mins not being a big deal must have been a big trigger for you. You make some pretty big assumptions based on that lol.

This is an extremely privileged mindset clearly coming from somebody who's life has never ACTUALLY been busy.

Ive admitted i have worked in retail. I work in nursing now and its a 24/7 career where its not unusual to stay after 15 mins to 8 hours after a shift ends because someone didnt show up for their shift or was late. Now 8 hours is a big deal. 15 mins doesnt bother me much since Im still getting paid and after 8-12 hours of being on my feet serving patients an extra 15 mins isnt going to hurt me. Its not privileged. Its not giving a shit over the small things.

Its minutes of their time. Its really not a big deal unless youre absorbed into that world. Retail fucks with your head. Ive been there. Looking back it wasnt worth getting upset over. We cant change how selfish humans can be and at the end of the day its not worth being upset over literal minutes of our time being wasted. Look at what were doing now on the internet. I remember how cynical it made me still and looking back it really wasnt a big deal compared to other jobs.
