I actually agree with you. Its like the movie just wanted to pile on how shitty things could get for me. Like of course his girl is gonna leave him while he goes to some weird camp and goes through all this trouble of hearing aids just to take them off.

Privilege would be the assumption that everyone can afford the same as you and judging people in a negative light who don't have your same disposable income. Look it up some time and perhaps practice some self awareness. Stop judging others based on your privileged status.

Someone using a calculator may be calculating a sum that is both fair to the service AND an affordable amount for them.
