Star Wars is unlikely to fold. It will continue to exist in some form. It might go away from a while, or it might just be books for a while, but doing nothing with it will only create nostalgic demand for anything.

We'd need to get a few generations out before honestly assessing its future. By then you'll be dead.

The thing is that if your badges are set to Private, then you don't show up on that list.

Also since they recently changed the displays for badges, you actually have to have them set to "Visible to Anybody" to show up on the list. There were several people there in the tens of thousands a few months ago, but they haven't updated their settings.

Oh the last time Star Wars went this hard on a giant multimedia project it was Shadow of the Empire.

I mean in terms of media scope, I guess, but SotE was just a single novel's worth of a story told in multiple formats.

I'm almost surprised they haven't announced either a High Republic show or game to be honest.

I can agree with that. This is a huge fictional undertaking, moreso than stuff like NJO or LotF. There are novels at every reading level, comics, short stories. I actually kinda had a hard time starting Fallen Star because it'd been so long and I had a tough time remembering everyone. :-/

I've pretty much just committed to reading the adult novels and the YA novels.

And I gotta wonder if all this was worth insulting people, offering them porn, asking for personal information, etc.

Twitter censored it calling it "misinformation" when it was, and is the truth. If Twitter was not politically motivated to censor anyone it disagrees with, this information would be wide-spread at this point. And this is just one example of "misinformation" actually being fact that Twitter has pushed under the rug. And it's why it's important to be able to share these things.

With regards to the worldbuilding, there's honestly very little. It takes place in established locations and works primarily with previously established characters.

Not in my opinion. It wasn't balls-out fantastic, but it had a lot of good drama and tension. I suppose my only real criticism with it is that it tried a little too hard to build up the tension in the first act.
