tbf, the air fryer does make the outside of said chicken a little cripsier... kinda like if you used the broil setting for a short while

it's all physics... the deep inside of a chunk of chicken breast doesn't care if the air is moving, only the net heat

They're somewhere in between the quality of an oven and the ease/speed of a microwave.

Unless it takes the exact same amount of time and I'm a shmuck.

it's not that it takes less time, it's that it heats up faster and loses less heat so it's more energy efficient and you don't need to pre-heat

edit: and this is contingent on using the same one I used... both were different types of Tfal air fryer

I had a couple and neither of them worked as desired. I mean, they both worked... great for little things you would put in an oven.

My problem is i'm something of a french fry elitist and neither were any better than just cooking in a normal oven.

Granted, they were the SAME as cooking in a normal oven so if you don't have a normal oven then an air fryer would be awesome for you
