I realized I am not worth dating. To put it simply. If I was a woman, I wouldn't want me. I'm unhealthy, I have mental issues, I don't take care of myself very well, I'm so shy I wouldn't be fun to be around.... nobody would want me and there is no soul mate out there for me.

My sister and her husband too. There's a 10 year age difference between them (he's older) and one of the things they joke about is how they don't always get each other's references, especially music. Another reason I'm glad my wife and I are close in age.

Actually I have dated with a larger age gap, didn't go great.

My wife is 2 years younger than me as well. I've had larger age gaps, but I could never really connect with someone the way I can with some +/- 3 years older/younger.

Men are by nature attracted to younger women. This has been scientifically proven time and time again. Men are visual creatures, and like all other mammal species, we have "spread your seed" hardwired as an instinct in us. Well the women with th3 best chances of providing healthy offspring are younger women. Not to mention once a women gets into her 30s for every year older she gets it increases the chances of birth defects or complications with a baby when pregnant.

In terms of an evolutionary scale monogamy is a relatively new development in human beings. And most of that now is from societal pressure. Same with dating people your own age. The fact is most people are close minded, no matter how much they like to proclaim otherwise, so they find it "icky" that an older guy is with a younger women. Yet the porn industry does something around ten billion dollars a year in business, and that's just in America, where the majority of women are 18-25. Its the ultimate hypocrisy, make fun of or judge someone because you secretly are that thing or are jealous of people that have it.
