Tanking gets considerably easier after ARR and arguably HW imo

Less so nowadays due to the main scenario dungeons reworks for Trusts. But the optional dungeons for ARR and HW can still be a bit obtuse.

I can usually piece together the correct mechanics on a replay for most of the SB, ShB, and EW raids. ARR and HW, though... not so much lol

The ARR alliance raids... yeah, they can be a little obscure. Just make sure to stick to your alliance waymark and tank your alliance's add.

(Omega: Beyond the Rift) The part at Mare Lamentorum where Omega asks you who was justified between Venat, Hermes, and Emet-Selch... that really made me pause and think. Haven't had a video game really make me contemplate philosophy that hard before, even though I knew, experienced, and understood what all three of them stood for throughout the course of Endwalker. Still... the logical and analytical perspective from Omega really put quite the spin on the question, and really on the quest as a whole. What was also heartwarming was talking with that one guy who lost his son during the Final Days. Never thought his situation would ever get addressed again, and man... what a masterpiece of a quest line, though short it was.

Did the Omega: Beyond the Rift quest and the Tales of Newfound Adventure quest last night. That Omega quest was amazing, and the voidsent one gave some interesting lore. Curious what they do for (6.2) Cagnazzo and Rubicante.

That idea sounds interesting for sure! I can't guarantee I'll sign up, but if I had more time, I'd definitely be interested in trying out that format.

I, personally, will be taking a break regardless as I anticipate busy times ahead of me until after the first half of December. As much as I enjoy Mafia, it's a time commitment, and when I'm already so distractable, I ought to be a bit more responsible and focus on my work.

That being said, spectating games blindly is fun, so I'll surely be keeping tabs on any ongoing games.

Also, a Discord server for our ragtag gang sounds like a great idea!

The Variant Dungeons are so cool! I'm really enjoying exploring all of the different paths

Oh yeah this'll be my first time being caught up with the whole relic weapon grind.

Anything I should be particularly aware of? I've gotten my ARR, HW, and SB relics. Started the ShB relic, too, but I've been too lazy to get the memories despite having a maxed out Blue Mage with all of the spells lol

I haven't dabbled in plugins yet. Might look into it if there's super useful QoL stuff. I play AST a fairly casual level, though doing Extremes/Savages has really got me into the raiding mindset for every Job I play now lol

That did not age well. I... actually kinda dislike the Crown Play change. If I'm holding on to Lord for damage buffs or holding on to Lady for heals, I can't see the cooldown ticking for Minor Arcana since Crown Play now replaces that spot.

But I mean... if they can get the cooldown timer to still show up while Crown Play is active, that'd be super nice.

Death is next in line anyway according to the queue spreadsheet, so that works out.

No worries about the delay and ultimate cancellation of this game, btw. Once Final Fantasy+ Mafia is ready for release, I'm sure it'll be spectacular

That's how I interpreted it, too. Still, I had to raise an eyebrow at "better stop before you get banned again" because that's just unnecessary to say. I don't know Ulti's history, and as someone relatively new here, I don't know if it's really my business to talk about this... but reminding somebody that they were banned in the past is mean, especially in an amicable setting like this one where it's especially uncalled for.

Ulti certainly crossed a line with his insult, but Red certainly wasn't helping.

That being said, I agree with Han. Just because we're allowed to say whatever we want doesn't mean we should. There's room for friendly trash talk, and the setup of the recent game certainly did no favors to peoples' frustrations. But it is what it is. Game's over now, and Isquen worked hard to make it happen. Say ggs and move on. Everyone has the ability to speak in friendly terms to one another, so let's do that.

Yeah... but we'll see how Lopen's claim holds up tomorrow. If he's faking it, he has to make the right guess between zero, one, two, or maybe even three people visiting him on N3.

If MZero doesn't hammer, I'll do it. My shard upgrade ain't entirely useful, but it's better to have unreliable protection than none at all.

What you need to do is potentially have me visit myself, have someone else visit me, or have no one visit me which throws uncertainty into the calculations and makes it harder for any of us to lie when we same time post visit status and the number I received.

We can then depending on numbers and results either lynch me to confirm accurate numbers or lynch someone else because the numbers don't add up and they're clearly lying.

Hmm... If you don't know who visits you, your role is worse than I thought. I will keep my actions ambiguous, then.

Okay well now I'm very convinced the only tracking role in this game is on the scum side. Decoy, Ninja Item Thief, and Ninja Watcher all screw with tracking/watching roles, and Ninja Watcher being an upgrade to a Vanilla would really only be useful with the Ninja modifier against a scum-sided tracking role.

That is the only way I can see chang's upgrade making sense and also why Lea had a Ninja modifier.

You and Ulti can't visit the same person. No way in hell would scum let you live if you're actually Town Watcher, and unless you can watch yourself, Ulti is the only way you can stay alive. At most, you can confirm me and (to some extent) Poppy.

I'm gonna invoke Han here and say that town tend to make mistakes, while scum are usually perfect.

In this scenario, Lopen has a perfect claim while Ctes's isn't.

Ulti and I can confirm ourselves off of Lopen. We can't do the same with Ctes.

However, Ctes was very friendly with Hb, defending him to the death. Ctes never placed a vote on either of the two scum lynches. Ctes also didnt start with an item like most of us did.

Lopen, on the other hand... I'm curious. Why haven't both of your Tango charges been spent yet? In fact... why do you even get two? Surely if scum shoots you once, they would just assume you were Bulletproof and leave you alone. The fact that you have two, unspent charges is kinda reckless, especially if you had died without ever using them.
