That is disturbing as fuck. He was very much exactly of the opposite mind of that before, and this was more out of character for him than it was for ledbowman when he took up that mantle (but that turned out to be true, and reading Beantown's post, I can't even make out any attempt at a case for sarcasm. That's full-blown). I've considered him an excellent poster for a very long time. Seeing this is very upsetting. I really hope he didn't mean what he said, but I don't see any reason not to interpret it literally.
