My fave coworker is pretty obviously neurodivergent: they just think differently, but they have tics and it's heart-breaking to me how embarrassed they are of their own tics. They seem to spend a lot of energy mercilessly suppressing them.

Fucking fantastic at their job though. And too smart and too lovely to be in retail, but that's a lot of people I work with.

It really did seem like they were going to cancel it, and I think the Paradox CEO admitted they almost did, but now they seem insistent that it's still a thing that's going to happen, which is a notable change from the previous radio silence.

I was on Hinge and HER all of two weeks before meeting my now-GF on the former. Her profile was a little sparse, but she had dramatic bangs, a picture of herself dressed as Beetlejuice for Halloween, and a potato rock, so I touched on all of those things in a zany way and my humor vibed with her.

Having to restart my own body from scratch is... Well, it's something. But I believe in myself and my wife believes in me. Just a month ago I'd be embarrassed to tears just to wear what I have on now. And now I see this girl I really like. I love her. She's beautiful. So happy I can be her.

I don't know if I quite feel as feminine as I look, but maybe that will change with time.

But yes. You are you, you were made for you. You were made to be happy, and if being a girl makes you happy, I have great news: you can literally just be a girl!

I would read it.

Honestly, I've toyed with writing some kind of memoir, or maybe just a first-hand account of the pandemic and my transition and my quest for love.

I understand that pov, BUT we also know that lockdowns for so long will make people go crazy and health concerns stop being a priority when you're economically suffering. Yes I know.... "tHe eK0noMYH", but we're witnessing the result long lockdowns have on people.

They *could* probably loosen things somewhat while maintaining masking and distancing without suffering much increase in cases, but I think it's pretty clear the U.S. is the biggest loser on this front.

Cause as we're seeing with the protests, access to technology is not compatible with dictatorships. People know. Even with media censorship young people know whats happening around the world. I cant event tell what China's end game is with these on going covid lockdowns when the rest of the world has moved on and is trying to coexist with it. They seem to be the biggest losers from all this and consequentially their citizens which makes for a bad civil unrest. Protesters even calling for Jinping to resign which I thought they killed people over criticism of the CCPR.

All in all Im glad people are rising up.

I question the assertion that your population mostly not getting infected with COVID is "losing", considering how bad the lingering effects of a COVID infection can be even if you're vaxxed.

Nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see what the ultimate outcomes are here.

Edit: I have an enby coworker in my department who looks classically beautiful in a femme way but doesnt feel femme at all. Theyre very noticeably neurodivergent too. We get along super well and work great together, and I love them. Like, platonically. I dont think theyre femme enough for me and Im not masc enough for them, but we talk a lot about our SOs together and just in general.

Speaking from personal experience and especially in the transgender space - finding a soulmate is exceedingly rare. If you like her, definitely at least get engaged. My wife was willing to marry me despite me presenting as male. And she was happy to have me transition back. I don't know anyone else who would've been that accomodating. I didn't even think for a second about saying yes when she asked.

Yeah, I remember back in February when my femme enby friend was visiting and I was still messaging with the now-girlfriend on Hinge. We were just chilling watching TV and I checked my Hinge messages, and heres that woman telling my 6-months-on-HRT-ass that Im a sexy lady, and my friend looks over because Im acting all weird and I just show them the message and they chuckle and go, Oh wow.

I aint letting this woman go. Only death shall do us part.

Itll take time, and your mind wont be fully clear for a while, between being pregnant and then having to care for a newborn. Theres no need to rush, though I understand the desire to cross the finish line.

Yeah, between Hydro Pump and Freeze Dry, basically nothing resists it, which is problem given that it has STAB on both of those and pretty beefy special attack. Its item slot is flexible, its beefy defense makes it hard to snipe with priority moves, and it's so blindingly fast it can just pivot out of anything it can't immediately murder.

I visited my friend (the femme enby one mentioned prior) out in Oregon in August of 2021. I had been on hormones for about a month and a half at that point, and was out to a grand total of 3 people back home (4, counting them), and we went to Eugene Pride, which was a beautiful yet overwhelming experience. I painted my fingernails, wore a "My pronouns are she/her", and walked around in my boy clothes and "denial 'stache" (enby friend's appellation, not mine). It was the first time I got to be me, just living with a bunch of queers.

We also did fun stuff, like hike a lot (including down the Hobbit Trail to Hobbit Beach, probably the most spectacularly beautiful beach I've ever seen) and we went to one of the area's largest breweries, Ninkasi, and had a fun time. I think that evening was the first time I noticed I wasn't quite handling my alcohol as well as I used to lol.

The night before I had to go brought home how differently I was processing my emotions: I literally cried myself to sleep, and then cried some more driving up I-5 to PDX. But it really helped give me clarity and helped to see how things *could* be.

...You know what, if I'm not completely wrecked after work tonight, I should share a few pics. I got some really good ones.

What's your preferred HRT regimen? I recently switched from sublingual pills twice a day to subcutaneous injections once a week. Not having to let a pill dissolve twice a day is pretty liberating imo

I started that way too. Then they shunted part of my dosage onto patches because my estrone levels were high, but I wasn't quite out yet, so I was still getting my shit from CVS and good fucking God CVS is terrible about giving things in the correct amounts: I basically never had enough patches, and they screwed up my prog several times. Luckily, my clinic runs its own pharmacy, so I get my stuff shipped now.

And I switched to injecting, because I was sick of playing with the pills and the patches. It really is the best way to do it, IMO. Like you said, it's just convenient. I have a weekly reminder on my phone (though I didn't forget the one time it didn't trigger for whatever reason) and it's pretty quick and easy.

My girlfriends health and the rising tide of violence against trans people are bigger issues than money, though money could theoretically help both of those things, if I had a fucking lot of it.

I like this short piece by Florence Ashley, proposing a new term: gender modality. Basically, your relation to gender in relation to your assigned gender. She proposes that it is a more variable and accurate way to conceptualize things than binaries (i.e. "man or woman" and "cis or trans") that don't fit non-binary people well and don't fit intersex and agender people at all.

Really though, I have little interest in discussing such things though, as it is almost inevitably hijacked by bad faith actors.

My girlfriend has a mast cell disorder*, so shes immunocompromised and even a minor illness would make her miserable, so if I have so much as a cold, I cant see her. And I had a cold, two weeks ago, but she would check up on me via text: she was especially invested in me putting ginger and turmeric in my tea, and would want me to send her pics of my tea.

One night, she pestered me for pics of my dinner, but it was hours after I had eaten, so I snapped a pic of the water bottle I was drinking and said: There, theres the water Im drinking, you Dommy Mommy you!

And she responded: Oh well, Im glad you showed me something!!!! You little sub you

At that point, I burst out laughing so hard I could barely breathe, but I managed to text back: Oh God, am I bratty sub!?

At which point I accused her of attempted murder.
