Not really a quote / joke, but I find it amusing that Barney landing Linda Ronstadt for his 'Plow King' jingle - an absurd one-off gag at first glance, particularly when he says "we've been looking for a project to do together" - is later made plausible by virtue of the Be Sharps' backstory (the two of them very well could have met up during his brief stint as a famous singer).

I don't think i've ever seen him ditch before you jump off the falls.

I've had him ditch me a couple times in the Phantom Woods before reaching the train. It's only a 1/16 chance he'll leave, so it's pretty rare. He can also randomly decide to leave between Kohlingen and Zozo Tower if you decide to hire him at that point.

I remember liking Ah! My Goddess. That's more or less my limit.

Not exactly 50 hours, but I got to the end of Metroid Dread with 100% item completion and still haven't gotten around to beating Raven Beak. Tried about half a dozen times, got frustrated, hopped on google and learned that I was only on phase 1 of 4 - with the key moving onto the next phase being one of those motherfucking perfectly-timed parries that I adore oh so much - and then let it collect dust.

Can't remember the last time I got up to a final boss in an RPG and couldn't be the final boss due to lack of skill, though.

One of the eternal hurdles when dealing with most modern Republican voters is that they genuinely believe the less experience a candidate has in governance, the better. They want an end to corruption in politics and despise political insiders, yet they insist on being completely blind to both in their own party.

So right-wingers are becoming increasingly aggressive when it comes to keeping their heads buried in the sand; this will only get worse the more they realize (if not openly admit) that they picked the wrong side in this self-fabricated politicization.

Yeah, when the YI track started up with the old familiar 'dum, du-du-dum, du-du-dum-du-du dum, du-dum' beats instead of the usual MK8 jingle, I knew they'd put the work in to make it special.

Random thought: since they're adding new features along with the tracks, I wonder if we'll see a Mirror 200cc Mode?

The sun-dappled forest road singlehandedly elevates Mario Circuit to 'surprisingly good' status. And the fire-spitting Piranha Plants are fun hazards, even though they're too limited. It also seems that 200CC has you going too fast to encounter the Wiggler in Lap 3, which is a bit of a bummer (that's my best guess anyway, as I only encountered him on 150/Mirror).

Amsterdam is New York Minute-levels of frustration (took me a dozen tries to get a perfect score on 200CC Fruit Cup, mostly because Amsterdam kept fucking me over; Boomerang Cup only took 2 tries by comparison), but at least it's much prettier and has a more fun design than NYM. I imagine I'll warm up to this one a lot more once I'm fully past the learning curve.

DK Summit is probably my least favorite of the batch. I understand people have a lot of nostalgia for it, but I could take it or leave it, especially considering that MK8 Mount Wario stomps all over it. Can't really see myself using the half-pipes in this one either (unlike Waluigi Stadium, where there's clear benefits to doing so).

You forgot that they randomly released an update for Skyrim last year to break 10 years of mods.

jk, i don't think it broke all of them.

Trust me I didn't forget, I was there lol (actually I think I had the foresight to take my XB offline just before the patch so I could keep playing until they fixed it about a week later).

Every patch that came after the CC's initial release I counted as separate (and as you alluded to, Bethesda's reputation of releasing sloppy patches has only gotten worse since then, unfortunately).
