I beat Penance with yojimbo but I was shocked because I felt I hadn't gotten his trust to that point yet. Penance is one of the worst bosses I've ever faced in any game.

Yojimbo's formula is kinda neat... even at base friendship he has a good 20% chance to zanmato penance with a modest 10k donation
