Iteration is a very important principal to software design. You do not want to write software that can not easily be replaced. I know a lot of older engineers that really struggle with this concept and get stuck in old 90s mindsets even when they hear words like agile.

Been a formal job title for decades but ok? The wikipedia page for Software Architect started in 2005. I don't know what you would call someone in a position above Principal. Literally the person on the team who architects the software.

Most people do not keep cornmeal in their pantry. Flour is far more common.

these ingredients have different purposes so I'm not sure why flour is even brought up, you can have both flour and cornmeal in your pantry

Given the recent announcement of Lily lowering the cost of insulin in the US, and the others expected to follow suit, expect the CDC to change their terms of prediabetes to be in-line with every other nations terms again. It's no longer extremely lucrative to get people onto diabetes medications now in the US.

how is it some big conspiracy when people in the prediabetes category should only need behavioral interventions related to diet and exercise

So is there some way to tell if you have diabetes without actually getting a blood test? I've suspected I may have diabetes for many years now, but I've always been deathly afraid of needled so I've never actually been able to get a blood test done in my life.

All I know is that both my arms and legs have been in a constant, never-ending state of sharp tingling for years, with my feet being the worst case to the point it's painful. I've also lost a lot of muscle mass and my legs have gotten so weak it's sometimes difficult to walk or balance. Though that may be attributed to muscle atrophy due to not really exercising any more. I don't know.

I've gotten used to it by now (not that I enjoy it) but this obviously isn't something I should be getting used to.

a needle won't kill you, but failing to get checked out can.

they deal with people who don't like needles all the time. set up your appointment and physically show up. being an adult means doing things you don't want to do. if your fear is so bad that you make your appointment and then fight the person doing the collection, then you need to start therapy. either way, set up an appointment, like now.

Eating before blood testing can be detrimental if it's assumed you're in a fasted state. Fasted blood glucose is what's typically measured first. Blood glucose should be fairly stable and under 100 in the fasted state in healthy individuals, e.g. before breakfast in the morning, because the body should have had time to produce insulin and process the excess blood glucose, bringing the concentration down back to a normal baseline under 100. But the gold standard test is feeding someone glucose and measuring their response over time (in measuring blood glucose), known as the glucose tolerance test.

No, for the same reason. If somebody starts saying "my bike" in talking about a bikeshare bike, they're obviously wrong.

In the original example/title, "my" is not referring to ownership of the vehicle. It's pointing out who we're talking about. A secondary "my" would be needed to make it like your example, "my primary vehicle is my car/bike/whatever"

The rest of your post depends on that same misunderstanding, so I'll ignore that

Sure, effective public transit is worlds better than personally driving everywhere in pretty much every conceivable way for the vast majority of people (and if not necessarily on an individual level, the benefits on a societal level easily outweigh any personal issues), but this is a weird way of trying to dunk on personal cars when there are so many other issues you could point out.

Thought experiment: If someone owned a bike of their own but also used bikeshare for 90% of their trips, would you agree it would be perfectly acceptable for them to say their primary bike is the bikeshare one?
