I've read the gacha pulls are all predetermined when you start a new game. So if you use 2xS and 1xG you'll always get the same order of items even if you reload. Same for every other combo.

I've only just got to the first merchant minigame but i've been caught off guard 3 times so far. The tower falling and the wolves attacking you in the second village visit, the chainsaw guy coming at me outside the house before going in and the dog showing up as you exit said house.

Glad to hear this is actually hard. Managed to grab a copy on PS4.

It is but it'd have to be a massive bottle job to beat Italy and Ukraine and then fail to qualify with 4 games against Malta and North Macedonia still to play and Italy at home.

If they beat Ukraine on Sunday they've basically qualified already.

England doing what they do best. Beating the top teams when it doesn't really matter.

Yeah nothing from the PS3 era should be being remade. To be honest i'd question the PS2 gen as well.

CS:S will always be my fav. This just looks like CS:GO again.

RE4's control scheme is perfectly paced with its gameplay. That's why it hasn't aged despite modern control schemes evolving since then. Leon's walking speed, the tank controls, the slow & deliberate aiming - the game was crafted around all that.

Yeah this. I don't even feel the game is dated.

That opening village part in the original blew me away back on the Gamecube. While it obviously didn't have the same effect in the remake demo it was about as good as they could've made it.

I was always a Blacktail fan. Uses less inventory space.

I don't know who i hate more streamers making 6 figure plus sums off random people online or the people stupid enough to give them the money in the first place.

I've played through it like 10 times so far over PC and PS4 and still haven't seen hard mode. Just managed to take down both chainsaw guys thanks to the TMP. I've found you're better off just ditching it before the village section and claiming it back from the well. The only downside is the kitchen knife you end up with is awful in comparison to the starting knife.

I'd expect this to be low 90's minimum.

Just done a TMP run and it makes it way easier. Also the best choke point seems to be the window to the right at the top of the shotgun room stairs. It's safest place to stand as nothing else spawns around you so you can focus all your attention on that room.

I don't get why he says i've located the president's daughter, baby eagle. Wtf is the point in the code names if you're just gonna blurt out who it is. Although i guess it is pretty damn obvious why he's there.

I love the knife parry. The only thing that i can complain about is that save point not working. Runs amazing on my aging PC but i'm still gonna give it a try on the PS4.

I've only played the first 3 so far but they're enjoyable enough. They all had a lot of backtracking as well so i can't see how it gets worse in the newer ones.

When windows does a major update it usually keeps a backup of the old update for a month before deleting it. It gets stored in a folder called windows.old.

I do think 8 is better than 7 but it'd have been better to just make them into their own thing instead of slapping the RE name on them.

CV is one of my favourite games in the series. I feel a remake might ruin it a bit.

Dunno if it's official or just fan theory but SF does have a timeline it's just most of it has been shoved in the late 80's/early 90's. I think SF3 is still the latest game date wise.

Getting any sort of audience on Twitch is a massive achievement. Feels like the site as a whole is gate kept by all the top streamers.

Already played Azure and will get Project Zero and RE4 at a later date. Would get RE4 on release but they're trying to charge 50 minimum for it even on PS4.

I played 3, 4 and 5 vanilla without social link guides and just did whatever i wanted. I did manage to get everything done in 5 though as that is the only one that doesn't have a strict schedule for doing everything.
To be honest it's a tough question to answer. On the one hand you might wanna see everything in one playthrough but on the other it kinda spoils it when you have to do specific stuff on a specific day when it's designed to give you choices. I found it highly enjoyable trying to plan the week ahead in the games based on what tasks fall on what days. You get non of that following a guide.

RE4 is game of the year but they'll give it to Zelda because it's Zelda. Also Cammy and Gief look amazing.

Can't say i know anything about how Fortnite plays on Switch. But last time i checked you needed some stupid phone app to use voice chat on a Switch.

I'm not sure about every game, but Modern Warfare came out two years later on Wii. PS3 and 360 owners were already playing MW2. Why would a Wii owner be excited to get a game two years late? They probably could have sold more on Nintendo systems if they made any attempt to give them equal treatment.

While i agree, Nintendo has always had awful online features. Why buy a COD game on a Nintendo system when you can play it with better online, friend lobbies and voice chat on other systems.

I can see Granblue staying in because it's like a promo for the updated game.

I didn't think Nintendo gamers cared about COD. They've tried putting it on their platforms before and it flopped. Nintendo just doesn't really care for hardcore gaming.

I like it. It also has one of if not the best battle system in the series.

Kinda crazy how this turned into what it has considering it was probably meant to be dead after the third one. They'd have been better off just making a brand new film series instead. They've basically gone from a normal street racing film into some futuristic superhero style...'thing'

Back when it was new i'm sure 3 was amazing. But World did pretty much everything better.

Ishin will start what's hopefully a good year of gaming for me.

This. Kinda funny because Trails is like the perfect series for a site like this but everyone is allergic to 90% of games after the PS2 gen.

This is something i never expected to see. The original was really fun for the month it was active. Will keep an eye on this one.

This one seems to be a love it or hate it game. I'm in the hate camp personally. Didn't really like any of the characters outside of Beatrix and the battle system was awful. Never got the love for Vivi either.

End of the day the retro pixel style should be left to indie devs who have no money to work with. The big publishers should be working in 3D. If companies like Idea Factory and Falcom can work do it then there's no excuse.

I'm not a fan of all these retro looking games. The devs are just pumping out these games to cash in on nostalgia. Why make a game like Octopath Traveller in full 3D with modern graphics when you can do it for a fraction of the price with a retro look but still charge full price. They've found a way to make 30+ year old games again and got people to buy them. They do the same with the anime style game. Only difference is they at least keep them a few generations behind at most graphics wise.

I remember in the PSP version that once you got demi you could cheese a lot of the hard enemies by just running away and spamming that.

From the poll, RE4 - even though I slightly resent its existence (you cannot improve on perfection and trying is a waste of time, so why not remake Code Veronica instead), it will still be nice to have a different take on it I guess.

Yeah i'd have much preferred a remake of Code Veronica. That being said they'd probably just turn Chris into that awful beefcake style character he became in the later games.

Didn't buy a single game last year but this year is looking fantastic. Most anticipated is probably Trails into Reverie

I played them both without a guide so hardly did most of them.

I can't remember any of the P3 links and only the Nurse from P4. Although i only played both once on release.

Waste of money at the moment.

Doesn't feel like it's been 2 years since CS4. I just hope this 3 year wait is worth it.

I didn't get a code again. Would've been nice to test it out on the PC.
