Poland are playing really negative again. They don't really deserve to win this.

Watching this game is just depressing as an England fan. If we get past Senegal we are 100% not getting past France. The only way England will ever win anything is with a lucky draw.

I'll lose interest when England go out unless there's a shock team still in it.

I want Poland to win this but they'd probably need to get to pens for that to happen.

So we just need Brazil to lose to Korea or Ghana then and that will be the cherry on the cake. Also i do question Spain a bit near the end of that game. You can't argue they looked like they were having a go but they weren't playing with a lot of urgency or packing the box.

Have Brazil ever lost to a lesser nation at a World Cup? The only time they've ever been humiliated was that 7-1 to Germany.

Costa Rica ruined an otherwise entertaining group. Not even worth watching now.

I think Spain are the only team on Brazil's side of the bracket that can beat them.

I doubt Germany are beating Costa Rica 7-0. They won't do it but Spain could easily throw the match for the easier draw.

Spain finishing second is like booking a semi final place. They win the group and they get Croatia followed by Brazil.

The only continent that loses out is Europe and maybe to a lesser extent Africa. All the big countries from the rest of the world effectively have a bye into the finals now.

I think it's fitting to laugh at Japan one more time for blowing second in the group. You would've had Morocco in the last 16!

The play off spots are basically just giving Africa and South America 1 extra slot each. By the time you get that far down the rankings North America, Asia and Oceania are Sunday league teams.

I've noticed they don't care about syncing up the games at this tournament. Usually the final group games wait for each other when the second half kicks off.

VAR is just creating more corruption in the games. Another good goal chalked off.

Every time Morocco go forward you expect them to score. We could see a cricket score.

That's just not practical at all. Even at 4 games a day the schedule is packed.

The problem with the 12 groups thing is it also adds more days to the tournament. The traditional length is 31 days. Even if they do the more compact style of Qatar you're still adding like 2 weeks onto that.

All the European and South American teams will get out of the group stage. Also UEFA were moaning about the games increasing from 7 so they were forced to try and keep it 7 games total to the final.

Put it this way i'll be very surprised if any of the weakest seeded teams make it out of the group stage next time out.

Yeah we currently get 13. If you add the 3 teams i mentioned that's our 16 teams. They've said they're revamping it for the next World Cup so we'll see what they come up with. I'm not a fan of them linking it with the nations league though. Personallyi think they should go back to the 8 groups and top 2 get into the finals.

European qualification will probably remain mostly the same. If you take the most recent process instead of there being a play off semi final it'll just be a straight up 1 on 1 play off. That means Italy would've still failed to qualify and North Macedona, Ukraine and Sweden would've got in.

I don't think Belgium will qualify for the next World Cup. They'll get in the Euros though because it's harder to not qualify.

I would love to get revenge on Croatia in the semi final but i doubt neither of us will get there this time.
