I was listening to a podcast about their CEO. Herb Kelleher.

He died in 2019 but apparently, he was beloved by everyone. Even when he would use loopholes to break certain rules, the government was basically like "Ahhh we like ya so don't do it again".

And he would sometimes go on flights and pose as a flight attendant and bring up the morale of everyone he worked with.

Nothing's going to really happen. The two sides have been playing mind games, and one-upmanship since there was a North and South Korea. Until lives are taken by one side due to an attack, expect your usual, you stomp on my hat, I'll stomp on your's, slap, see you next week or month, while the world is basically a group of school kids piling around thinking a huge fight is about to take place, amused.

I mean there have been skirmishes before with lives taken. Just two years ago there was a South Korean man who accidentally crossed the sea line and got killed.

Poseidon is the dude-bro uncle and his boons are fine. Of the gods, I hated Zeus the most. He's my least favorite in the pantheon even outside of the game.

For other characters, Theseus is annoying but funny in a Zap Brannigan sort of way.

I was surprised how much people liked Skelly. I wasn't a fan.

Character spoilers:

Patroclus was such an annoying Debbie Downer until he reunites with Achilles.
Same with Orpheus before getting reunited with Eurydice.
Alecto is annoying as hell.

But no one is coming close to the worst character when it comes to Nyx's short heel turn when she was on the anti-Dusa warpath.

There was that trend of magazines, websites, commentators, etc... who would criticize Meghan Markle for everything she did, but there were examples where they praised Kate Middleton for the exact same things.

Like it was painfully obvious racism.

There are three romanceable options in the game.

Minor spoilers but nothing specific: Don't worry about "choosing" one over the others. You can romance all three options and nothing bad will happen. It's almost more "canon" to the mythology to romance them all.

Ironically a lot of the racism in South Korea is in the bigger cities.

In the real rural areas? People don't really care at all. Speaking even the most basic Korean in a rural area, no matter your color, and you'll get treated like royalty.

Lol not really. I mean in terms of teaching to government tests, yeah it does that.

Teachers are on a rotation so every year a schools getting a good amount of new teachers. It's a gamble if they will be good or not every year.

Plus most students have to go to expensive hagwons every day after school, stunting their social growth.

It does have it's benefits for sure, but it has some major issues as well. Especially with the high rate of suicide for Korean youths.

Korea (or the kingdoms of the past) were tributary states to many ruling Chinese dynasties. So it's not really stealing when a former vassal state keeps traditions after true independence.

There were a few scenes of Mike where he's made some glaring mistakes. Gus too. Really everyone tbh.

He doesn't get much screen time but Ed the Disappearer is easily the smartest guy in the entire show. He's been operating for Lord knows how long, making a killing.

Some former mob members have said that they know who orchestrated it but wont say who due to the oaths.

Bam went into a spiral then, and I think those around him were too gentle in trying to help him until it just got to be too late. There was no coming back for him.

I'm pretty sure the Jackass guys really pushed him toward rehab, especially since a few of them came out of rehab successfully. But he just pushed them away either by dismissing their help or flat-out threatening to harm them and their families (Tremaine, I think?)

After that, I think they washed their hands of him.

I'm not trusting anything the Russian government says, anything Griner says while under their purview, and nothing the American government says in regard to the case until she is safely on American soil.

Everything has either been blatant lying, coerced script reading, or political pageantry.

Ahh, I didn't realize or remember I guess.

I try to not think about it or rationalize that all documentaries leave something on the cutting room floor.

And not every scene is being filmed by the docu crew I guess.

I get what the inspiration is but the documentary style format seems silly and feels forced. It barely makes any sense and just basically seems to exist so either the character can explain their thoughts or look at the camera when they feel awkward.

They confirmed it is a documentary crew in Season 2.

Which is sad because my head canon was they were talking to a unseen, non-talking teacher who tagged along everywhere and had to listen to everyone's bullshit.

You know the story of Van Wilder was based on/stolen from him right? He's always been super popular (among his peers) and a heavy drinker.

I enjoy him. His cooking show on YouTube is amazing. He does have those dumb frat boy jokes but he's pretty introspective and is always wanting to learn about things.

He's also very much a girl dad. He guest hosted Bobby Lee's podcast and was interacting with Bobby Lee's girlfriend-at-the-time(?)'s cousin who was like 18 and he really brought her out of her shell and made her comfortable and laugh. Seems like an overall good dude.

The first one is still one of the best movies of all time. It never reaches those levels.

But this remake is much, much better than the TV movie remake. And it does enough to distinguish it from the original film. Overall a pretty good movie

I've always thought the mainline games were kinda like movies.

The kart racing, sports, etc... were like celebrity reality-game show events.

And that opens up every Nintendo/guest character and series that makes an appearance to be the same thing.

That is, people who's job it was to stand in an elevator all day and push the buttons for the people who are actually using the elevator.

They pre-dated the push-button elevators, though. Plus, they were also there for manual labor. Helping people moving or helping with groceries. Also, added an extra level of security to the building.

I also like how they did an interview with two of the band members and Xzibit saying they specifically reached out to Xzibit because they knew his work and felt his voice and personality would work well with their music.

So it wasn't like they just reached out to a random, popular rapper to shoe-horn into their song. And Xzibit has done some work with bands before (mostly nu-metal...sigh...) so it didn't feel out of place hearing him on a track like this.

Apparently people that work with Carley Rae are friends with Tom Hanks. And they said, "Hey wanna be in her new music video" at dinner and that was it.

I played Black Eagles first and that was fun. I spent the first half of the game maximizing friendships first so I could recruit everyone possible.

I like it because it's the only Coke option I have since I don't drink caffeine.

Plus, Steak n Shake does (or at least did, I'm not sure if they still do) this thing where you can get a massive drink with a shot of cherry vanilla. So good.

Oh I can get that. I do understand people might be riding the hype train for her a little too hard it goes off into stan-territory.

But I genuinely feel her past three albums have been amazing. All of them are firmly in my personal Top Five for their respective years.
