God this is even.

I... I think I'm settled. Team Mewtwo is the more exciting and dynamic competitor, but I think Team Crono just has enough extra juice to keep their team intact enough to eventually take down final survivor Mewtwo.

As much as I just want to say only "Team Crono" and leave, just for the awkward nostalgia, I am really struggling on this.

I begin to lean Mario's team because Mario's offense is just great and that dual-tech is an insane amount of FMV damage and spectacle to Mewtwo. The DK Takeover really helps make it a 3-2 for a bit before DK gets taken out as soon as Mario's done with him.

Then I look at Aigis really struggling to do anything for the first fifteen seconds with the double-whammy of damage and concussion symptoms. I don't see her healing herself in that time, yet I also don't see Team Mewtwo getting into that entranceway to fully take advantage with the way they were hit. For the most part, both teams did a good job at mitigating the other's surprise attack round. Both can heal up and both are the powerhouses of the fight. But Mewtwo will heal back and bounce back faster than Aigis. Aigis will be prioritizing DK when they meet so that's another time-frame where Aigis isn't necessarily going at her full strategic potential, being Taunted away.

As someone who owned Dan Hibiki back in the day, distracting an opponent's focus to one character is a huge point in my vote's favor, =P. And DK is a tanky gorilla. Hell, there's a lot of high health and heals on both sides. This match is not over in the first few minutes so even focusing down those times where Aigis/Mewtwo/Mario/DK are otherwise occupied isn't even close to the end of things.

Terrain doesn't really favor either side either. Yes, Kong can teleport, but I don't see it coming into play in a fight that's pretty much middle lane. Neither side has the numbers or specialists to try and jungle or flank around. Mewtwo's teleporting around and strafing, but they're in the fight not the outskirts.

And as strong as the Mega Mushroom and Thunderbolt are, they're also one-use. They're not 'need to save for the perfect moment' kind of things, but still, they can be survived in most scenarios and healed back up. It's definitely a war of attrition, of melting down PP/MP/SP/FP, and who lasts out.

I've still got an hour to vote and until Elimination Chamber. I'll keep waffling and looking at before-end arguments if they come. It's like 51%-49% in my head rn.

I think this is a much closer match than I anticipated.

I would count a 'revive to full health' as a heal, no?

I'm leaaaaaning Team Samus right now. I think a lot of the tools Team Gordon has are successfully negated by the X-Ray, tankiness, and matched long range of the opposing team. There are plenty of scenarios I can see Team Jinx winning, and even moreso if they could pull off a strong ambush that wasn't negated by the X-Ray Visor and communication. Gravity Gun does have a lot to play with, but I think Freeman's crossbow would fare very strongly punching through Samus armor. I also give Jinx tons of firepower, trap, ambush, and surprising speed credit. And there's Sagat who can tank a lot more than you would assume from his unarmored form .

But man, K. Rool pressing some buttons and just calling in orbital bombardments. Dude is all about firing big fucking cannons. It's a really, really good pairing.

I'll give it some more thought, but... nnn, Team Sagat's pretty well-routed far as I can see. Strong team, great setting, bad match-up.

Hmm. So she doesn't necessarily have wide experience of all her projectiles being flung back at her by a variety of other characters in a chaotic situation.

That does give the gravity-gun-reflected-rockets some extra benefit from where I stopped reading through.

I was not at all expecting Gracie Films to be my highest rated nom. I'd been waiting to comment on it all this time, and I've completely forgotten what I wanted to say.

But listening to it more than once, I knewwww it would be at the bottom and was not even a prospect. It did get me doing about an hour of running through those endcards for the perfect one. Touchstone, Bad Robot, Williams Street. Walt Disney Home Video... I ended up with Gracie just because it was the best and most iconic five second jingle, and like the Mentos theme from a few rankings ago, I'm happy it filled your heart up!

I agree that Meteora is better, still happy you liked Hybrid Theory, and I would go back now and change some nominations regardless of their rank. I think I ended on "Tranz" from Gorillaz just because I was vibing at the time and it fit my times, but I desperately want to replace it with "Dsol" or "Humility" or "Momentary Bliss." And I did go for what saxophones I knew with "Baker Street" and "#41" lol!

I'm overall satisfied with how I did. It's not three in the top 10/20 like last time, but it's also a great field of nominations, and there's still one song in this that I'm pulling for to win.

Even if the song does feel like its a bit too "relationship-y", there's a lot in this song that can hit me pretty hard when I'm willing to let it.

I haven't listened to the song in a while (and commenting from work before I forget completely) and it definitely deals with a second person, but I never thought of it romantically. I thought about family especially parents, teachers and people trying to 'bring out the best' in you or anyone that has a passive-aggressive relationship with you. I definitely remember a stint like fifteen years back where the focus of someone pushing me away was a cousin who was making things in our relationship much worse with his attempts at being social. I'm shaking right now remembering my birthday and our trip into the city.

Hawkman is usually meh, but Aldis brought a lot of life to the character. Really enjoyed him in this film too.

afaik so far the only valid topics that aren't provided in some way by the prompts have been stubs for people/things from Umineko that don't exist in Empire's verse like the one you mentioned (unless you count more meta ones like whoami), so yeah inputting based off outside knowledge should prob be smth you wait to do until you're out of other leads for the moment.
and from discussion I've seen elsewhere I think the image progression is based on how many unique entries you've found in total rather than being triggered by specific entries? though I'm not familiar enough with Ren'Py innards to be able to find the exact amounts for that in the code

I tested all the words that triggered a change in a new window, and it remained on the first image so two notes: keywords are not locked behind different chains or upon being discovered int ext first, and it is based on number of inputs.

My current struggle is trying to figure out proper input to learn about the picture of the brain found in the abandoned car.
