To me, and I believe to most, BotW is about the tools it gives you to explore.

TotK just gave us a tool that will greatly change how we explore the overworld. Just seeing how things interacted in BotW was half the fun.

That's why the og John Wick was my favorite.

Imagine the day that Republicans rejoice over taxes and tolls. What in tarnation happened?

I'm actually a little shocked with how ineffective SawBlaze was. As soon as I saw they lost the ground game, I knew it would be tough, as you don't usually do well against flippers when that happens, but I knew a weapon that can directly just attack the top of Hydra would be a scary one for them.

Was really pulling for claw viper to win as it has been fun to watch this season, but I guess it was only a matter of time before one of the deadly bots would be able to counter it.

I know we are guaranteed one 4-0 bot because Witch Doctor vs Minotaur (and unless the fight is a dud, I would be shocked if that's not the finale of the regular season), but I wonder how many more we'll get. Two of the potential 4-0 bots lost this past episode.

Illumination are billion-dollar machines. Of course this movie is going to make over a billion.

People are really under-selling the power of Mario here. Kids haven't been this excited to see a movie since god know's how long.

I think he should be a silent hero.

That's not to say he only grunts when he attacks, he will talk, but he's not going to be talkative. We have had that before in shows and movies, and I don't know why people think it has to be "MCU-quipping" or "..." the whole time. He can be reserved.

Every day, I see CE becoming more and more boomer. We used to be allies, but it's really obvious there is a strange generational gap between myself and you guys.

To me, it made perfect sense. I think it's obvious they wanted to push for Donkey Kong stuff in order to set-up for a DK movie.

Plus, it was showing great respect for Mario's first true rivalry. They wanted to, both, include DK's rivalry with Mario, yet not take him from his DK Country setting that has been built and established long since the original arcade days. Good ol' classic Mario vs DK.

I think this movie did a great job of planting a bunch of seeds for future projects. I expect the next movie to be more focused on the Mushroom kingdom side of things (or they might jump to Galaxy since they were referencing it quite a few times).

There's nothing wrong with enjoying fanservice.

I mean, isn't that what we complain about with video-game movies? They don't lean on the things that make people love them.

I was browsing movies on HBO Max last night and decided to watch Exodus: Gods and Kings and noticed Aaron Paul was in that movie. Wish he ended up having a better career.

Surprised Breaking Bad didn't help jumpstart a well-made movie career.

That's how the Mario movie is supposed to be watched. If you go see it with your kids and it's not terrible for adults, then great. No one over the age of 20 should see this movie unless accompanied by someone under the age of 13.

I love Mario more than any kid could. He's my savior, you can't deny me of him.

There was actually a 1986 anime film, released only in Japan, that actually has Bowser trying to marry Peach, and it was pretty obvious he had feelings for her, and it wasn't just some power-grab. The idea of Bowser loving Peach is almost as old as Bowser himself.

Bowser is simping real hard in this movie, but alas, it's not for a Mario Brother, but just Princess Peach. I have no idea why I'm putting a well-known Bowser fact in spoilers. It's practically the premise of half the games.

Yeah, same. It was a little heavy on slow-mo at times, but that's about my only real complaint. Thought it did everything a Mario movie should do.

... but just you wait until Illumination gets their filthy hands on Wario, oh boy, haha.

I Looooved the movie. Had a lot of fun.

If you have a kid/related to a kid, and they ever played Mario, they will have a blast. I haven't seen kids love a movie more than what I just saw in a good few years. Mario evokes really strong emotions that people take for granted.

AND MY GOD, Mario and Luigi have parents!!!!

I'm just gonna say, I loved the film.

I think the critics are being unusually harsh on this, with the type of animated films I see them giving high marks to.

I'm just gonna say it as well for people who know a kid that likes seeing movies: the kids like this film more than they would have liked any Disney/Pixar film of the last 5 years.

These are objectively good decisions. The extra runners are the only bad one to me after the 9th, but still.

I don't really like the DH, but such is life I guess. The shift is kinda a weak bandaid. The shift probably hurt baseball in the long run as it helped create the 3-outcome game where now we care more about launch angles and velocity for home runs... but then again, that might have happened regardless since analytics are a huge part of the game nowadays.
