That version of the game was barely functional, a half-assed port, and needed a fix to get it working on Windows 10. Looks like since it was a crusty port from 2008 with a fairly dead forum that they just removed it straight up thinking people wouldn't notice/care. Pretty scummy though.

Sometimes they rename the entry for particular game when it gets remastered and roll out an update that updates everything in the game as opposed to having a separate entry for the remastered and original versions. Id did that with Quake when it got remastered recently. Look to see if the original version of Lumimes is avaliable via a beta branch.

EDIT: I'm an idiot that can't read. Yeah that looks egregious.

Just to confirm, did the remaster of VI retain those couple of buffs for Cyan and Sabin? Namely that you can choose the sword tech that you want Cyan to use and have him wait out the charge up while you do other stuff, and the ability to back out of Sabin's blitz input if you realized you made a mistake. Also, are these remasters censored vs the Japanese versions in anyway?

If you had no idea what a Bible version/translation is then you probably should read it if only to fill a gap in your general knowledge.

TRex simply doesn't make sense as primarily a scavenger. However, it most likely did scavenge when opportunity presented. As many many reptiles will.

The scavenger hypothesis has largely fallen by the wayside and IIRC Horner has since acknowledged that it's been falsified.

It's weird watching Jack Horner's evolution from respected albeit mildly eccentric paleontologist to a laughingstock of the field. The whole thing with trying to recreate a dinosaur by gene editing a chicken embryo is something he has been mocked for.

It's weird because the first cutscene clearly shows Cortez jumping out the portal and turning into that woman. Even says "It's all down to me now" indicating a continuation of him jumping through time.

But none of the other cutscenes are like this. They're all clearly pre-defined characters and even the objectives match the characters living in that time period. Talking about investigating power sources or whatever (that leads to time crystals).

Maybe Cortez has actually been stuck as these characters for years before the cutscenes lol

But yeah I doubt there's much thought given to it.

Yeah, they probably didn't worry too much about it, but that cutscene was obviously structured differently to make it clear to the player that it was Cortez in the body. I guess we're to assume that when Cortez exits the portal is the exact moment when he is "synced" with the person in that time period. I guess, again, drawing from Quantum Leap, he has to accomplish that person's objectives in addition to his own to stop history from being changed too much.

And I second the notion that Rewind will likely make it better, if only because of mouse aiming. Last update they gave I think they were nearly done remaking the Timesplitters 1 content.

Here I'm not entirely sure how time travel works. Each story mission you play as a new character who doesn't seem to be aware of time travel at all but hey it's just an afterthought.

It's just like Quantum Leap in which he is placed into the body of a person who belongs in that particular place in time, so he has to fulfill that person's objectives alongside his own. Fitting since they drew pretty heavily from movies and television elsewhere in the game.

Pretty sure that the assumption is that he is placed into the character's body shortly after the opening cutscene in levels 2-9, but I could be wrong.

Nothing of value was lost.

Jurassic Park, definitely. Not one sequel has come close to holding a candle to the original.

Yeah, none of the other movies seemed to want to deal with the ethics that the first one did. Instead, it was all thrills. The third one touched on ethics a little bit, but was largely a horror movie.

The only post movie episode that can qualify is Krusty Towers.
