I love all these little mini-game events MHY does. The cooking one is so simple but it's comfy and adorable. Love it. Except when I tried to feed Scaramouche and got verbally abused lmmaaoo.

A lot of them are good.

I love Cyber Sleuth, but if you have a monster battling JRPG itch, PLEASE check out Monster Hunter Stories 2. It's phenomenal. (And play in JP voice if you're okay with that.)

But both games are way better than modern Pokemon games so either way you're fine.

I do the same thing!! I've always looked up every boss and trial for major cues to look out for so I know what to do. I also threw out a "o/ first time here" or something similar. people are generally nice.

Endwalker put a stop to that habit though, since I was on it at launch and there were no boss/trial guides to look up. It was actually pretty fun being in the ????!!!! zone with everyone else.

I can't speak or give advice from personal experience with tanking. I have two friends that have a tank main/alt and at first they were very anxious about it, too but they love it now. Not gonna lie and say they never ran into instances where an asshole in the party went after them, it dunked their mood for that play session but they kept going with it. I guess it depends on how you are with that kind of stuff. Just read up on your tank skills, Google for basic advice on the job, and the rest will come with time and practice

That's fair, and I would, too. When I think of bad tanks/healers I don't think of single pullers or no dps healers. The tanks with no mitigation and I get hit when I so much as start breathing on the mobs, ones who don't know where to stand/have mobs face or ones who dance around constantly (unnecessarily, I mean. For no reason) and have the mobs shuffling around everywhere the entire fight.

I haven't run into too many bad healers, trying to think back on it. Most I can think of are instances where they get lazy with rezzing or rez at random. Not basic dungeons, but bigger raids or stuff like Bozja. I was more aware of that one when leveling my RDM and could've helped revive the pile of people.

It is. It has something PUGS do not though, and that is the character talking while it goes on.

Also play a DPS job. I find that easier to do dungeons and trials with that as opposed to a tank or healer, where I'd be anxious as all hell.

I recently upgraded from a Galaxy Note 9 to an S23 Ultra and I'm in love with it. Definitely worthwhile. The trade-in deal I got it from might be gone by now, otherwise it's expensive as hell.

Phew, finally got through that Black Cave. I had a hard time with it, but at the same time I didn't? The enemies' HP was reasonable and all that but when they revved up, they nuke the party. Those gorilla things can Roar then hit me for ~500, or in fights where I had two sorcerer things, they did party-wide magic spells for ~200. No one was in danger of dying but when Sarah has her party heal for around 150 each, it's just a game of trying to play keep up. I'm so glad she gets back a good chunk of mana when defending.

Going to get Cooke and Ming to 28 with the rest before going to this next city. One gripe I have now is that immortals can't learn mortal skills unless said mortal is in the active party. That was a sad moment when I realized.

I have no problem knowing the titles, but I also dont see any harm in not saying them for those who dont want to know them.

Between friends or a community segment, I guess. I still don't get it, but it's a "you do you" thing. But complaining about an article talking about the books normally is a bit much, imo. I'm guessing a minority of fans actually WANT to do things blind, the rest of us want at least the bare minimum information on something lol.

I love the guy and his works but the whole process of keeping book titles a secret and your fans/customers are like "yeah I'm game!" and buy books they know nothing about right down to the title. To the point where if an article comes out saying the title, it's considered "spoilers" and said fans get upset. The whole thing is just weird? I haven't read the first project yet but I know what the title is and it didn't spoil anything about the story or character or whatever. Just feels needlessly dramatic.

Oh I should bump this I guess, didn't notice how long it's been. I'm at the Dark Cave but trying to farm a bit back at the mansion so Sarah can get more skills. The enemies in the cave hit really hard, too, eesh.

You don't have to grind though, the game has a few different ways of getting giant chunks of exp. I can recruit a specific NPC, the lag behinders go from like, 15 to 51, and doing that twice for them was fine enough for the final boss.

Final Bar is so good, I'm 90% or so done with the quests.

Also I love impractical Jokers.

I enjoyed the first game for its gameplay and music but I thought the writing and stories were ass.

Played Octopath 2 and fell in love with all the characters and stories. It's a huge, huge improvement. And it still has the fun gameplay and great music, of course.

Aight nice, thanks for the help! I did notice when I was leveling up the other two that they caught up fast, which I'm thankful for. I'm typically not a fan of idle members not leveling at all but getting extra exp when you slot them in is the next best thing.

I did, I enjoyed a number of games on it. Pretty bs that Xenoblade X still isn't ported off it, easily the best thing on there.

god, I love the Jak trilogy. ND claims they could never figure out a good story for one and so didn't go back to it, but I'm sure a part of it is also because they don't think it'll be as profitable as stuff like Uncharted and TLOU.

I don't think he's a dick but I do think he says some harsh things about Obsidian. Not that it's all unwarranted and we don't know everything that went down while he was there, but some of the things he says when talking about current things they're up feels like it's still a chip on his shoulder still. Not that I'd call Avellone a dick just for that, and he's human, so it's still pretty whatever to me.

Good for him. More people these days need to realize having kids is a choice and weigh their options and to choose based off what's best for their own personal life. And assholes need to stop guilting/judging them for it.

There's an optional super dungeon that has one of the ultimate weapons at the top floor and it is significantly harder than the main game story dungeons. If you're looking for a challenge, that's the way to go.

I'll definitely want to check that out. And any other optional stuff. In time, though! I didn't get much done today, been busy, but oh well.

The first two bosses are the hardest bosses in the game so it's going to be smooth sailing from here in out.

As you get closer to the end the bosses will get so easy that the regular encounters will be harder than the bosses.

Dang. Not that I mind overall, but what about the final boss and any optional bosses?

The second boss was way easier than the first.

Their publishers won't let them. Blue Dragon and LO were both locked down by Microsoft. Fantasian is locked down by Apple. They've been trying to port Fantasian for a while now, trying in the sense of begging Apple to give them the rights to put it on literally anything else.

The Company just gets nothing but bad luck and raw deals.

Honestly? At this point I don't think it'll ever happen, I get the impression that Mistwalker never wants to bother with ports. I'd love to be wrong though, game deserves to see the modern light of day.

The game has some truly incredible moments, not just including the short stories. The weird ring system took some getting used to, but I still prefer it over fully traditional turn-based systems where you queue up your moves and then watch it unfold.

For the tc, do keep in mind that buffs and debuffs are super important in the late game for getting through tough fights, so don't neglect that part of your arsenal.

I do like the ring system a lot. Just took me a bit to realize I have to press the trigger to start the outer ring lool. I won't ignore the buffs and debuffs, then. I know in some RPGs they can be ignored and some they can make or break the fight, but it's best to play it safe.

I finally got Anthony out of the fountain and turned Anna into an adventurer. I'm a real Genshin player now.

Yes! The Grilgan? Bastard took me four attempts, he hit like a freight train. I finally got it once I moved Seth to the back row. Doesn't help that healing feels like it's pretty weak right now, both item and spell.

I still need to play Shallie. Then Sophie. Then Firis. Then L&S. Then Mana Khemia. Then Iris. Then Ryza 1 and 2. But I'm close!

I'm a few hours in, just got to Grand Staff so I'm still chilling with my party of three. I like the whole cast so far but you guys, I LOVE the hell out of Jansen. His VA is so wonderful, too. I laughed so much at the scene where he shows up for the trip with prostitutes on his arms.

I also really dig how the game implements skills from mortals and accessories, where combat gives you points towards each skill until you learn it then you keep it. It gets the addiction going with getting more more moar.

I use a walkthrough if I get stuck or when in the middle I want to double check magic location to make sure I get them all.

Despite my whining about it, I beat it tonight. It did get a lot better, and I'm feeling pretty sad now that I'm out of KF games to play. These games are so damn fun and full of atmosphere.

On the wishlist it goes.

I mean, it's up on Gematsu. But I agree it's stupidly fishy and surely there's something more to this.

Oh, the anime...yeah, ignore my "try Chaos;Head" post then lol. Read the Vns if you can, they have more detail and character development. S;G/0 anime did it well but I avoid the others apart from the music they make for them.
