It's unreasonable to assume that people in louisiana can speak french. I can pull up the stats if you actually want, but the vast majority of them can't speak french.

My favorite bit is, apparently, if you try to go to pornhub there's a way to sign in, but the website is french.

I believe all curriculum are available online if you want to look.
It's basic "how to save money" things.

Because michigan highschool requirements previously let students chose between Algebra 2 or Personal Finance.

Yup, I found a decent recipe online for the dough, and the sauce is easy enough to whip up with tomato sauce around.

I made homemade pizza today, it's getting better each time and I'm really enjoying it.

Mostly because our solution for it was to evolve based on the foods we foraged, which tended to provide the right balance of nutrients to keep things moving smoothly. Agriculture disrupted that, but that disruption hasn't been enough to have an appreciable impact on reproductive success, so we haven't had any pressure to evolve around it (that, and the food that's available to most human populations is changing far more rapidly than evolution could possibly keep up with).

Now that I think about it:
How do we know that? Is that just speculation of "old times were better because we were built for it", or because there's some actual poop archaeology happening?

My SO is playing through Stray while I'm reading.

It's also become such a large tradition that people need to reserve KFC weeks in advance.

I hate RTS but a good strategy I heard once is a rock-paper-scissors trifecta of: expanding, teching, and massing

expanding beats teching
teching beats massing
massing beats expanding

so, if you exclusively tech, you might beat the CPU if it masses, but you won't beat a CPU that expands. in other words, you probably will need to scout and counter-expand if the CPU expands. (ie: you need to have access to as much resources as the CPU).

This is a fairly simple view for multiplayer, but effective. Very different from the main story and does not work.

Random tips:
-Build workers constantly until you get saturation of your bases. That takes priority over... basically everything else.
-Don't que building multiple units at once. They cost money that can be spent on other things. It's better to have too many buildings than too little.
-Defensive structures are a very good spice. Don't use too little, and don't use too much. Ideally it's exactly as many as you need. It's better to have an army.
-Against AI you can sometimes pull groups of enemies, so you just fight small groups, rather than the entire army.

You play the single player game exactly how you want to play it fam.

If you want strategy tips, no, just go kill them. But, you play it how you want.

Local game stores sometimes have stuff, I would look there.

Also focus on killing the minions, but if you just insta-murder them, you're going to be attacking the tower. Then you're more vulnerable.

I wouldn't worry about memorizing champions and what they do, you'll figure that out over time.

The power button exists. There are apps that limit game time and don't allow kids to purchase games a parent might deem inappropriate. One can even delete the games or take away the console until they get their s*** together. And yet lazy greedy parents who want quick lawsuit money are ever soooo helpless to say no. Anime is, primarily, for children.

Childrens media isn't inherently bad or anything, but the perspectives and priorities are shifted. That's also why you have a whole bunch of "loner kid who's actually super cool and badass" main characters.

Work update:
I talked to the other company, they're very nice and good.

Yeah, I'll probably start just doing the bare minimum as well.

My previous supervisor left for the corporate side a month ago, and now because our factory has been yelled at so much, they're not receiving new business. So they're "leaving the open positions open for the next 6 months".

Nobody understands, or appreciates what we do.
And since it's just me, a coworker (who was positioned to be the new supervisor, and I was fine with), and an intern who's leaving in two weeks, we just don't have the manpower to really work on anything useful now. Just keep our heads above water, no major projects.

I really hope that my walk around a new job today goes well, because fuck all this noise.

An army is two of those boxes in most cases, or a little addition to them if needed. PLUS 1000 point games do exist, which all of those boxes are 1000 points or more.... so yea

Is that what people primarily play? Either way, the base price is still damn expensive, you're looking at a total of $400 for people to sit down and play a game.

Not even close, you can literally play with one of those boxes, even at tournaments. And literally no where in the rules does it say your army needs to be painted. And if you do wanna pant? 20 bucks.

It's not about the money for it being painted. It's the time and energy, I'm not interested in painting an army, I don't even have the space to build a little painting corner in my apartment. I don't even know why a wargaming hobby needs the customers to paint their minis, but that's a separate thing.
So if I'm not interested, what am I supposed to do? Buy a prepainted army? Spend more money?

Consider:
Each new edition that comes out, and people move to the other edition, or, your army doesn't exist.
Each person needs to spend hundreds of dollars, not just one person buying one book.
You still need terrain
An army isn't just that small bundle

40k costs thousands of dollars to play, let alone the time investment for painting.

Compared to:
Buying maybe $10 of dice
One book (if you don't want to find alternative methods for the book)
Maybe a book every 3 months (if you don't find alternative methods for the book)

I'm currently running Delta Green tonight, there's a $40 book that you need, and some dice.
If you look around, you can get it for Free, or for Free+.

You can get more books if you want, but it's all imagination past that.

Hah over $200 for 19 figurines.
