A bit disappointed by this honestly. I was hoping for a bit of a deeper dive into the whole mindset behind the extremism and conspiracies. Other than brief mentions of the profit-angle for people like Jones and Tarrio, the doc is mostly just a compilation of crazy people screeching in the streets at rallies and protests. Which is funny at some points, but doesn't make for an interesting documentary.

The Spencer family would be interesting to follow around and have deeper interviews with. But most of the time they were onscreen the questions were directed at the kid. Why not ask the parents what drives them, or how they ended up so far deep down this rabbit hole? The dad seems to express some regret about the whole Q thing in the scene near the end, but there's no follow-up question to that whatsoever.

That said, I did laugh out loud at the pedo-conspiracy guy being outed as a convicted sex offender:

I saw the final season and none of the others. My family wanted me to watch the season finale with them so I did. Ive heard about the show and books from many people but never felt the urge to check it out prior to the season finale.

I thought it was entertaining despite not knowing the backstory of the characters or the overall plot lol..I remember being fond of the scene with the lady burning the town w/ her dragon. Just thought it was amazing visuals for a TV show.

Yeah I can believe that. The issue is that there were a lot of story lines the show built over nearly a decade that either went nowhere, got an unsatisfying ending, or took a sharp 180 turn just before the end.

S8 might not be that bad when looked at in a vacuum, it's just an awful anticlimax to a story that was at some point one of the best things to be on tv.

Actors go through dozens of projects during their careers, we can't expect them to have an emotional attachment to (the end result of) all of them. I'm sure many of them have movies where they shoot the scenes, do the minimal amount of agreed upon promotion and then never give it a second thought.

I don't think it was too disrespectful as a gift, especially if it's a decent-looking edition so it can be displayed in a book case. You don't need to be christian to acknowledge the bible's significance in world history. I'm atheist and I own one. I also own books on classical mythology despite not believing in Zeus.

Now if he actually starts preaching to you, expects you to actually study it, or actively tries to convert you: that would be out of line. In that case you need to sit him down and tell where the boundaries are. Just gifting the book with no strings attached doesn't seem to be ill-intended to me.

How often do you think prosecution has a tape recording of a suspect saying "I hereby officially declare my intention of robbing this bank"? Rittenhouse's defense has acknowledged the video was real, that it was indeed Rittenhouse's voice and that he was referring to the AR that was eventually used in the shootings.

Rittenhouse was caught on camera saying he wanted to shoot looters with his AR a couple of weeks before he actually did it. That makes the whole 'he was there with the best of intentions' a bit hard to believe if you ask me.

I do have a soft spot for hockey-type of penalty shootouts, where the player has to dribble from a certain distance and the keeper can move from his line. It allows for more variation and gives the keeper a greater chance.

There have been some experiments in the past (and I think it used to be standard in early MLS?) but it doesn't seem like there's currently any support for implementing it.

I do think that overtime should be set time but also sudden death. As in the first to score wins but if after 30 min of overtime no one has scored then it should go to penalty kicks.

Sudden death used to be a thing (called golden goal), but it was removed in 2006.

It often resulted in both teams being overly defensive and not willing to take any risks so the added extra time was just a boring wait for penalties.
