This show literally screams to me "We don't know what the fuck we're doing over here" from a management standpoint, what I've seen of it anyway.

I don't even mind they're trying to use nostalgia to prop it up--I've seen far worse nostalgia-related travesties(although it is pretty bad). I don't even have a problem with it being "woke" despite the fact I hate that term. I hate the fact that it's just... bad, in almost every single regard. I guess for what it is, the animation(not the art style, the actual animation) isn't terrible, but still.

I'm not buying Hogwarts legacy but that's because I never cared for Harry Potter in the first place. If I was going to, I would probably still do it because the unfortunate reality is that... Regardless of what you buy you're likely supporting some asshole somewhere.

Not buying a game can also lead to losing bonuses or, if sales are bad enough, their jobs.

It's not for me but from a technical aspect it looks like the devs put in some serious hard work. If you want to buy it, do it. Most "classic" works were made by people who, by modern standards, were fucking horrible people.

It was absolutely fraud, faulting the user for understanding these things out not--even if they were completely ignorant(a lot probably were) of how it worked, it was still absolutely fraud.

Honestly, it's more about active viewers and viewer participation. Sub numbers are a popularity metric but not what pays the bills ultimately(until sponsorship and whatnot come in to play, but that's less an issue since they're already corporate).
