Also never mind about drop out, I went through that lost media wiki and they say that even dropout don't have all the videos. Worse they actually completely and unnecessarily edit the videos so that's a deal breaker.

They used to have a website with all their videos, videos that they didn't put on youtube or for some reason removed.

But they shut down their website a couple years back and... basically if you had a Hardly Working video from 2008 or 2009 you wanted to see it's gone forever, lost to time.

What the hell at this game having straight up magic and magical creatures. A medusa? Really???

AC Odyssey so far is the most overt ac game to have supernatural stuff. Yeah AC origins hinted at it and had those giant egyptian gods you fight in the desert like sobek which the character doesn't even acknowledge but I always thought that was just a gameplay thing since it wasn't incorporated into part of the story.

This time it literally is incorporated, other characters in the game actually see and are affected by straight up magical supernatural stuff.

I don't know how the supernatural greek mythology stuff relates to the whole ac mythos though and "those who came before" people from the previous ac games

I didn't watch the movie, but Lucius Malfoy was Captain Hook in one of those many peter pan adaptations and I think that was the best casting for Hook easily. Jason Isaacs plays the scary Hook perfectly

Kassandra kills Kleon, who is a cultist. She then tells her mom that she's going to that mountain where "it all began" so she and her mother go up to that place from the flashbacks and finds deimos/alexios there. And then I choose to either kill him or not fight him.

If I don't fight him he cries and turns good all of a sudden and they all hug it out the fuck? And then there's a final scene where she, her mom, her adopted dad, adopted brother, and actual brother all sit in their house having a dinner? What the lowkey lame is this? Dude went around killing left and right, all of a sudden they're all just like okay let's all live a happy modern family life?

I still didn't find all the cultists or know who the ghost of kosmos is so I'm gonna load an older save and explore the rest of the map to do that. I also didn't finish the sealing of atlantis quest so I'll do that too.

But still can't imagine the ending being any better after doing all those quests.

I'm a bit annoyed that there are some things the game doesn't explain. Like I had no idea that pressing the Y button to run fast meant I could just run those blocks instead of individually jumping on each one.

Or the fact that I have to just hold the jump button to continually jump on an enemy instead of timing my jump right before I land like in Paper Mario.

Little stuff like that went a long way in making the champions road finally beatable.

But man finally beating it is definitely a relief. I think I'll sleep on it and see if I'm still up to replaying the game to get all character stamps. I did get a perfect save file in nsmb switch, maybe the same here would be nice too.

Wait would I still need to do mystery houses with each character... doable I suppose if I work backwards from hardest to easiest level. But I think I really just wanna move on to bowser's fury! I don't know what I'm in for but excited

Which character did you use? My first clear was with Rosalina, who's probably the easiest with the built in attack and double jump. Toad was tough with his short jumps and Peach was weirdly annoying cuz she'd keep hovering when I just wanted to high bounce off enemies. :|

Luigi, just like in new super mario bros switch. Whenever presented with the option I always choose Luigi ever since my first mario, smb 2.

I didn't get rosalina until the first bonus world level though. Tried her once but don't remember what it was like, I'll try again. Wonder if she has the the float ability like peach and a double jump, that would make her super broken. Might play as her and do the controller thing with her run

Wait if I still need to make the character climb the flagpole will they at least be in catsuit form if my main character is in catsuit because otherwise it will be too stressful to perfectly time a flagpole jump...

It really is fun, especially with a friend. I imagine four player would be chaotic as hell lol. Champion's Road is absolutely bonkers and the last part is especially terrifying. Good job clearing it.

Thanks man. I reached a point where it all became muscle memory, I could do every portion of the stage just like that, up until we got to the lasers and boost walkways or whatever they're called. By that point I honestly just tanked those, I used up my powerup suit and emergency powerup to get the 5 keys and made it to the box and my hands were literally sweaty, knees weak, etc.

I did the mystery house level with the freaking 30 green stars right after that and beat it same day. While difficult, the muscle memory and precision I gained from champions road definitely increased my skill level for the mystery house minigames so that it was... not so much easier as less hellish.

Did captain toad level last and it was a piece of cake by comparison, I absolutely love those levels. The puzzle nature of this little box and controlling toad to get the green stars makes it one of the best minigames ever and definitely helps to serve as a fun breather in between the platforming.

Yeah, you can add players in during levels. If you solo an entire level and add in another player right at the flag, you'll get a clear for each character as long as they each hop on the pole. Since you're playing on Switch, you can probably swap to single joycon mode right at the end and play each character with a joycon.

Ok I definitely gonna try this at least once and see if it works. If so I can borrow some joycons from a friend and just go through the level and then activate each one at the end?

Anyway the game itself was actually quite fun. I'd been itching for a 3d platformer since the pandemic and now I have several in my backlog to play, but super mario 3d world more than delivered. I have some gripes here and there, but it was pretty fun and a great 3d companion piece to the 2d new super mario bros switch

There wasn't in the Wii U version, so I assume it's just the stamps. And yeah, it's tedious. If you really want it, you can always connect extra controllers at the end of each level to clear the stage with up to four characters at once. That's how I got Mario's clear on Champion's Road lol.

It's just a shame that despite getting all green stars, I'm still missing 4 stamps. Apparently I need to beat every single level (including champions road again) with the other 4 characters to get those 4 stamps. Every. Single. Level.

Fuck that. Such a tedious, 90s era game design. Is there anything that unlocks if I did, like yet another bonus world or bonus level?

Because if just bragging rights, I'll leave that to the professionals

Put this game on hiatus for like 3 months. The difficulty spike of the final bonus level was incredibly disproportionate to the rest of the game. But after restarting over a hundred times, I finally was able to get the timing and platforming just right to beat it.
