Have you seen any of the recent Star Trek? All very different, with Strange New Worlds basically being Old-School Trek, but with an actual budget.

Apart from TAS, a few scattered episodes of TNG and Votager, and Prodigy I have watched every Star Trek show and film. I also have in excess of 4500 hours in Star Trek Online.
I was so happy when Tilly left the Discovery crew in Season 4 of Discovery.
SNW is okay but hopefully Season 2 is better.
Picard is hot garbage and I doubt Season 3 will fix that. My conclusion is that it's garbage because of Stewart.
Lower Decks is okay. It is very grating but all of the Senior Crew members make the show watchable.

You can't do stuff like this in CS which is what I was primarily talking about.
With writing at least people typically have a specific style to how they write which someone who reads a lot would be able to pick up.

Also it's going to be a huge vector for cheating in school. More cheating than there already is.

I can give you a good example of how it is basically making Stack Overflow irrelevant.
ChatGPT has been trained with a very large amount of programming problems, which means that you can ask it problems in a similar way to how one would ask Google how a specific API works. Almost all of the time "how do I do x in y" will redirect you to Stack Overflow which is basically reddit for programmers (It's not, but this is a very high level explanation).
Most questions on Stack Overflow have some power tripping mod and very low quality replies. ChatGPT will just give you the answer to the question without any bullshit if the question is simple enough.

I have around 10 years of experience in C++ and I would have never thought this up by myself (I did not even know std::accumulate existed).

You see that the second example uses std::accumulate but the other responses are not as clean IMO. The highest voted option I would not even use because it has issues (read the comment about the trailing delimiter). The answer is not actually the correct answer here at all. I actually could not get this to compile and std::ostream_iterator is not even something that people use anymore as far as I can tell because there are more efficient ways to iterate in newer versions of C++.

US healthcare research is in a very good place, but the fundamental system hamstrings the usefulness of that research because so few people can actually benefit from it. Technology is only useful if people can use it.

The issue that I see is that companies see healthcare as a cost center and will get the cheapest garbage plans (the plan I now have from work is terrible) available and promote shit like HSAs because they are cheaper on the company. I don't think my company offers non-HSA plans anymore (like an HMO or PPO). My knowledge on healthcare is just generally awful so I could be wrong. Also the deductables for these new plans are terrible.

I don't have any comments on Nuclear. I love the concept. It's safe. Some of these smaller reactors you wouldn't even know that they are there. The university I went to had one on campus and I'd guess that if you weren't in the couple of classes where it was relevant then you didn't know.

I am not surprised that it's only $2/hr. There are a lot of overseas software engineers being paid less than the US-company's minimum wage in the state they are headquartered. I work for a company that is the same exact way and I have talked about how bad the quality of these people's work can be. This is actually a very common thing and why I am afraid of my job and my future as someone who is a salary employee in a leadership position who is trying to both manage these overseas contractors and develop best-in-class software according to defined processes (which is something these contractors frequently do not do, because they are not 100% focused on the client, and it's not their job to be).

Monthly is the most popular outside of the US I think. I've never really found any issue with it but it's non-existent in the US.

Biweekly is every two weeks it's hourly employees, semi-monthly is salaried employees and their checks are given twice a month.

Bi-weekly = 14 days, 2 weeks=28 days = twice a month.
Just pointing out that bi-weekly and bi-monthly are actually the same thing.

That's a very broad assumption you're making. You have no idea how the polling system works from a technical perspective. In a few lines of code it is very possible someone could store the user id with the poll result without you even sending that information to the backend.

The thing is that the Japanese equivalent (Mezase Pokemon Master) is the opening for this series, and they reused parts of the original Japanese opening, so if they get the rights to the song, yes it will probably happen with the dub.
