So farmers should give away all their animals? What about housecats? They can cause infections and i think the death rate from some disease they can pass on is like 500 a year.

I'm sorry you live your life in fear but not everyone does. There are steps that we should take to make sure dogs go to people who will take care and train them. Your solution of cowardice is not it.

They breed them to have traits that make them better for fighting. Size, flexibility, speed, etc. They beat the dogs to get them to fight.

Working dogs have to be trained to do their jobs. Huskies are better suited to pull sleds but they don't do it by instinct. My is a lab but hates water when Labs are trained to retreive things from water.

You guys are stupid to believe they can breed a dog that just starts fighting. Dogs are pack animals and they would just bond. The terrible people beat and traumatize them to get them to do what they do.

Also, for a lab you're not finding them on the street. For a Pitbull you can find them anywhere. My ex bought a chocolate lab and costs 2500 dollars. If you need a dog that looks mean to stick in the yard you aint paying that

I think there should be better legislation on who can own a dog and much harsher penalties if your dog attacks another dog or a person. I think to own a dog you should be able to prove that you can teach your dog basic commands like sit, stay, and come.

Except Gun control laws have been proven to work where as Breed Specific legislation has been proven to fail.

Yet whenever that gets brought up people say that we should "stop breeding them" or "we should kill all pits" when its already been proven that the breed isnt the problem.

Breeding them out of existence isnt the right solution. Theres breeds that have health problems caused from centuries of trying to make them smaller and different.

If you support completely eliminating Pitbulls, would you want the same for bulldogs, pugs, or corgis because of their health?
