| teep_ 12/09/22 2:11:23 PM #109 | I feel like I was shamed/bullied into staying overtime by someone who has had to put in overtime hours for almost a year in order to keep the business running and resents how I have less to do than her, even though I'm a different position (though we do share an office). This person is also quite toxic and has trouble keeping her emotions in check: last week I saw her throw a tantrum by jumping on a piece of paper and cursing because we produced 41 pallets of something instead of 42. She's constantly complaining about every little thing, which brings the mood down. Today I was the person being complained about and it didn't feel good. Another example, earlier this week I was on the phone with my mentor from an other location where I spent time training, discussing a few work issues. Direct quote from her: "he's on the phone and I get stuck with the shitty jobs" On the plus side, this was the impetus I needed to polish up my CV and send out an application, so here's hoping something works out --- Grind. Networking is about building relationships with others, keeping in touch. You dont have to be best buddies but just cordial. Then do good work and they will refer you. Someone might move on to another company and try to refer you. Thats how I got 2 of my last 3 jobs.
