Naming your kid Joe/Michael/Sara/Megan in 2023 just feels lazy. Keep in mind, these are just the fastest rising names in popularity, not that the names listed are popular per se. And corruption spelling of common names (Kacey instead of Casey or w/e) is dumb to me, but I don't mind creative names otherwise (assuming it's not Blanket or Apple or w/e). Wrenlee is close to Winry, which has always been a personal favorite of mine (think FMA), so that doesn't bother me. So the graphics look very cartoonist and dated, but that's not the point. Dubbed the "friendship destroying" game, I think only SSBB and maybe Mario Kart git more play on my Wii with this game. It's basically a board game RPG hybrid, with job and class leveling, exp. gain, boss battles, etc., over a board game board that is massive, with items, magic spells, loot, caves and hidden dungeons, etc. scattered about. The normal way to play is set the game to end in X amount of "weeks", and whoever has the most net value is gold wins, which can be gained in a variety if ways. But beware! You can attack your fellow players at will, and defeating them in battle means you can steal their gear, rename their character (often something very offensive), and more. Best played in person so everyone can witness the bullshit together. It has a decently single player mode and campaign, too, but playing with other people in the same room is the real joy. Think Mario Party/Fortune Street, but on a much bigger scale with RPG mechanics. --- PotD's resident Film Expert. |
