Pokemon Home isn't developed by Game Freak. It is developed by ILCA. But, it is interfacing with games made by Game Freak so maybe Game Freak is still the problem.

I think ORAS started to chug if Mega Rayquaza and the Primals showed up. Triple Battles weren't exactly known for good performance either.

Maybe without Nintendo at their heels they can actually put out a competent product again.

I imagine half the development staff will be emergency called back to work on Pokemon to meet the next deadline. Pokemon development being in bad shape can effect the whole company.

Feels like there's already been a lot of high-profile flubs this year. Ranging from 'good but poorly optimized' (Jedi Survivor) to 'just not good' (Callisto Protocol) to 'previewed so badly it got panic-delayed' (Suicide Squad).

it will likely be another game that gets a 70-75 MC score at release but in a year will be great but no one will play it because it had a garbage release

It could also mean they are cutting their losses. Perhaps a lack of faith the game can be saved and just want to recoop what they can and move on.

Excluding last year which didn't have a bubble, I think I'm now 4 contests in a row for having a song I was the original nominator for get cut on the bubble.
