I have heard of a case where someone broke into a house and killed an entire family. The mom, dad, and 2 kids I think

And it remains unsolved. I think it happened back in the 2000s. I first learned about it from a true crime podcast

Found it

It makes me think Japan has a very weak police force that's equivalent of the US back in the 70s. These guys with their outdated methodology are creating the perfect environment for serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer to exist. I doubt they have the same forensic technology we have in here; which is completely ironic considering they're one of the top tech countries in the world.

I bet the Yakuza could grow if they allowed Chinese and Koreans to join. Another example of illogical racism hurting the racist, and them either not realizing it, or being too stubborn to stop
But there are Korean and Chinese gangs in Japan as well. I think the Korean gangs are usually Zainichi Koreans that are immigrants from post-war.

Just heard from a buddy visiting there during the summer that one of his friends living in Tokyo had a robbery at his home. Apparently 3 guys just broke and smashed his window at an apartment complex beating the life out of him. Another month after, some guy snapped at a grocery store and allegedly stabbed 5 senior citizens waiting in line. His reasoning? He was just stressed out. Wtf? Even if gun violence is low, I suppose people are just as disillusioned as anywhere in the world. From a sociological perspective, if there's something wrong with society, then the usual response is violence and mental illness. Even one of the safest countries in the world can't avoid this.

True of any highly competitive community tbh. LoL especially suffers from that problem. Fighting games definitely seem like they'd be a great fit for you though given your predisposition to competitive, strategy based gameplay. Lots of complexity in fighting games, with plenty of room to seek out high tier play and avoid casual play if you so desire.
Interesting. I was a huge stickler for Marvel vs Capcom games. I remember doing infinite combo with Magneto and Sentinel. Might give Street Fighter a try. What would you recommend in terms of PC games though?

I loved starcraft, warcraft 3, Dota, and Dota 2. Now I'm only playing league of legends but I can't seem to enjoy any other game. Can you guys recommend something besides shooting game and RPG? I just think every game isn't challenging enough and the only challenging games that require skill are RTS based strategy games; hence why they're all included in esports gaming. I get the appeal of shooting games but they're just not doing it for me.

Chatgpt created 6 fake precedented cases when in fact there were no prior rulings. Considering in Law, most judges rely on precedented cases to make a decision first. The fact that chatgpt created 6 fake cases to reinforce the plaintiffs claim was downright absurd. If a human did this they would have committed a federal crime.

Once you become three generations past the current, your views on how society ought to act are incredibly antiquated. I feel like at a certain point their views become skewed (partly due to age gap) that the laws they defend become a means to gatekeep and self serve. As a result, look at all the statutes in congress that should have been updated decades ago; it doesn't exist to serve its purpose today. The fact that certain statutes still include "chastity of women" is incredibly sexist and outdated. Why do we have men and women in their 70s and 80s making all the decisions for us? It's no wonder we're still so polarized despite advancements in science and other fields.

As I was tipping my pizza delivery guy, I felt the inclination to say "thanks for coming early brotha" and handed him his tip. Looking back on it, I felt like I only said that because the guy was rather brawny and I felt a "bro" presence from him, despite his professional demeanor implying nothing of the sort. Do you think I may have offended the guy? Would others see that as offensive depending on the situation?

I know I was looking into laser hair removal a while back because I hate shaving, but what I read said some people's skin will scar if they get it so I decided it was not for me since I have acne scars all over my torso and upper arms, which is not what normally happens to people so I figured I'd be one of the people who scars if I get laser hair removal.

Never actually tested that though.
Now I know it's really just a marketing scheme when they show before and after pics of people with great results. I bet those pictures were gathered from the top 5% outliers. It sucks too because I can't sue the company for "bad results" because they made me sign an exculpatory clause.

I paid $500 for a single session of 1540 fractional laser to get rid of my scars. For the first month my skin looked really great; skin texture was smooth and it really looked like my skin was close to what I wanted. Then things started going downhill. On my third month, my skin texture started getting blotchy and my pores started getting much bigger. Now I'm worse than I started off. Anybody have any experience?

I look like a Korean version of jigsaw now.

The piss into my apartment?

I noticed recently that my apartment complex has a surge stray kittens wandering around. I have a small yard with a fence and there are several kittens hanging around there throughout the day. I normally would have no issue, but I've heard of cat piss being particularly dangerous to breathe due to the concentration of ammonia in the piss fumes. Would the cat piss marking my yard be of any health concern, especially when the summer heat comes along? I've brought this issue to my building manager but she expressed that they are no harm.

Answer: "As you can see, the test plates continue to get more and more difficult as they go on. If you are colorblind that is. As the test gets harder, it shows your level of colorblindness. If you are colorblind, this plate will just look like it is pink, yellow, and green. Some people will see a green squiggle in the middle, but they wont be able to make out the number or even realize that it is a number at all. If you have perfect color vision, you will see a green number 7 on the test plate."

It's either every answer on this test is wrong or I'm color blind. Does anybody else see the number 5 on the first page of the link?

Using AI just does the same thing, except it's faster, non-bias, and handles information much better than some tenured judge with a scotch problem.

I thought even a handful will cause you to be in prison without bail. What gives that someone can have 50+ something felonies and get out the next day? It's not worth risking the fact that that person could be a wolf in sheep's clothing, and attack me. Now instead of thinking 1 in 100 people are criminals, I'm thinking 1 in 30 people around me are repeat offenders. Man...it's not safe anymore.

The guys that pretend to be professional photographers are creepy as well. Just because you have a 10k camera set doesn't mean you know how to take pictures. I've seen collection of photos on Instagram where the guy claims to be building his portfolio but it only contains pictures of half naked girls with no compositional technique and random photos comprised of him partying. I mean I'm starting to think photographers that claim to be "pro" only exist because rich men do it as a hobby.

It creates a market where impressionable girls are validated and their prettiness is then reinforced to the point where their expectations grow beyond disillusionment. We have a professor that speaks pretty quickly and note taking by hand is practically impossible without oversight. The course material is difficult so it's very easy to miss a lot of details during his lecture. Despite this, I'm one of the few that brings their laptop to class and takes notes by typing. I'm wondering why do it by hand when typing requires only one stroke as opposed to multiple strokes with writing? I understand that it helps with retaining information, but I don't think it's practical; especially when the course is accelerated and requires proper note taking. This makes me think that people in my class don't know how to type fast or they're not conscientious enough to realize that typing is more effective. What do you think CE?
