Oh. So there are actually workers rights and they can't fire you without paying you, but the downside is needing 3 months notice to quit.

Correct, though 3 months is longer than most. The average tends to be 4-8 weeks

Speaking generally, I often see people mention this "work self" vs "real self" conflict in relation to their career when things don't have to be that way. I can get separating the two if you want to be liked , but being liked isn't the end all be all.

It's about being competent, not about being liked. I can't be the boss of multiple teams of blue collar workers by being shy and withdrawn

Acting like an extrovert for 8+ hours is crazy (imo), and you can absolutely talk, socialize, make connections and all that without having to put on a front. Now, if you hate socializing with a passion and chose a job where you're doing that all day, every day...well, that's on you.

It's not that I hate it. I enjoy the confident, self assured person that I become. It's more that it takes effort, and my effort reserves aren't bottomless

What's the point of her rerecording an album she made when she was 21 as a grown woman in her 30s? Feels like a quarter-life crisis of sorts; you won't get any real sense of genuineness if she's singing songs that are meant to be sung by someone a decade younger than she is now.

Long story short: her record company screwed her over and she lost all the rights to her original songs, which is why she's releasing them again

I've got the hang of it for work, where I just need to be bold and "extroverted" for 8/9 hours and then I can chill once I get home. But today's my fourth day at this external course and I've had to put on a play since the beginning, especially since we're expected to socialise with the others outside of the learning period.

It's been a good time and I've learned a lot and improved myself as a person, don't get me wrong. But there's a reason why today, instead of going out with the others or doing an activity, I immediately shut myself in my room and listened to music until bed >_>

I'm at a course with people all over the country. There's a lot to do here, and I want to talk to people and come out of my shell. How do I do so? I tried sitting with one guy during the afternoon coffee break, but he wasn't the talkative type so it didn't go anywhere

labor arbitrage is simply lowering labor costs as opposed to paying the country's wages through either outsourcing or imported cheap labor who will work for low amounts.

This is what my employer has resorted to: importing cheap labour from eastern European countries.

When things go wrong because the workers, as hard as they work, just aren't trained, guess who acts surprised!!

f the supply (willing workers) is inadequate, it's because the demand (pay) isn't quite enough.

This has been the case in Germany since the pandemic and employers still refuse to understand this, instead complaining about how "no one wants to work" and that we have a "worker shortage"
