TopicRemind me, how do I write a summary for a documentary again?

I'm shooting blanks here staring at the screen trying to write a movie summary for a documentary I'm required to watch.
How do I organize everything? Do I need a thesis and several supporting paragraphs? I'm thinking I should write out the summary like I'm writing the plot for a tv show; where I start every paragraph with discussing a new plot point for an episode. Writing research papers has made me completely forget the formatting and organizational style for this type of writing. Please help me.

My coworkers are the type that have to always outdo everyone else. If someone does something good, they could do it better. If someone is sick, they have it worse.

So one time I was REALLY struggling, and I don't often open up about my issues but it becoming fairly obvious. So I apologized and explained that I was struggling with my anxiety. And I was immediately interrupted with "Ha! You think you've got anxiety? You ain't got nothing like what I deal with." Then the other spoke up "You two are wrong, I'M THE ONE with anxiety. Neither of you know what real anxiety is.'

Then it proceeded with the two of them arguing over which one had it worse, and they got pissed at each other because neither would admit that the other had it worse.

The thing is, the "anxiety" they were talking about was just stress from life. They were using things like "sometimes I need to spray something that smells nice to relax, that's how bad I have it." Or eat something sweet like a piece of candy. As if that demonstrated anything. I just walked away because I knew I wouldn't be able to express anything.
That's the thing. People who don't experience "real" anxiety have a very basic pop culture understanding of it, which seems to extend well into corporate culture. It's like if you have anxiety or depression, they'll compare it to their own experiences and downplay the fact that everything can be resolved with drugs, alcohol, and strippers/escorts. It's like, "Oh yeah buddy, you're feeling anxious and depressed? Stephanie from Bada-Bing will take care of ya." NO dude. You're probably a psychopath or you're also depressed and don't realize it yet.

because you're not displaying obvious signs of instability. It can go on for months with people mistakenly perceiving you to be on top of your game because you're feeling "fine" and suddenly your anxiety and bouts of depression comes back tenfold. Now you can't focus and the complicated nuances of your job/duty/task seem like a different language. The people around you just don't understand and think you're just malingering or finding an excuse for being lazy. You explain to them that you have depression and anxiety and they just roll their eyes invalidating your illness because other people have it harder. But the anxiety and depression is still there. You still can't focus and you still have to do your job. So you spend twice as long trying make up for the difference only to result in mediocre work because you couldn't focus. Your peers still think you're being lazy because they compare your work to what you did before. Now there's the perception that your original work was based on a fluke. Nobody thinks you're the top performer anymore. Now the motivation to do well is gone and any effort to try will be overlooked as an futile attempt by your peers. Everything starts to suck and the world doesn't make sense anymore.

Can anybody relate?

Unless it increases my happiness capital or partly contributes to it, I'm starting to realize it's a waste of time trying to over complicate a topic. At the end of the day, my life won't be better because I know the poop trajectory. Instead, my life is better knowing I saved time not studying the poop trajectory.

When a dog poops, it'll poop because it has to. Through observation and experimentation, we start building testable hypothesis that eventually becomes a theory. Great. Now we understand the dog poops when it eats food. But, here's the thing; you didn't need some 1000 hour course telling you that the dog needs to eat in order to poop. I could have found that out by simply observing.

This is how I'm starting to feel when I try and learn courses about music theory, political science, economics, and trigonometry. At the core, the concepts are easy to grasp and understand, similar to understanding that a dog poops when it needs to. But, somehow as I try and learn the insignificant nuances of the subject, I come to find out that some courses are figuratively trying to explain the poop trajectory and the propensity to poop relative to the external sources like the weather, etc. Why complicate things? It creates pointless degrees where people delude themselves into thinking they know more because they have 10,000 hours of teachings from someone that wanted to overcomplicate how a dog poops.

Exactly. They're just piggy bagging on the marketing fad that should have died out years ago. Now they're just artificially trying to create demand by giving out the illusion that they couldn't supply due to shortages. No, it wasn't because the cost of imports was higher for Mcdonalds from their suppliers; because it wasn't. They could have sold Mcribs anytime throughout the year.

Former President Donald Trump said he has a "much better body" than President Joe Biden and claimed he could take him in a fight.

"He's got a consultant somewhere this is the worst consultant in politics that thinks he looks good in a bathing suit, right? He spends so much time at the beach. I mean, how do you do that?" Trump said at a rally in Waterloo, Iowa, on Saturday.

"And, you know, I have a much better body than him. But I'm not really sure that I want to expose it, with the sun blaring down and the sand, the surf, the wind you know. I mean, you know, it's not a pretty sight."

The former president also discussed how he would fare against his political rival in a physical fight.

Trump brought up comments by Biden in 2018 about how if they were in high school, he would take Trump "behind the gym and beat the hell out of him."

"I think I could go like this," Trump said before blowing air out of his mouth, "and he'd go down."

Trump then claimed that he was better at golf than Biden. The former president has often mocked Biden's physical fitness and has previously talked about wanting to fight him.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CyKuU6vTC3Y

For the record I follow politics and have yet to see Joe Biden's body... And he used to be a lifeguard. He's a good swimmer.

Not sure what websites Donald Trump has been visiting
English classes will use Trump as an example of ad hominems and other fallacies for decades to come! "Kids if you don't want to sound like this guy here, avoid using these fallacies."

So in that sense, if you're making $30k but the cost for happiness is 10k, you're grossing 20k a year.

Let's say you're making 100k but your your cost of happiness is at 80k, you're still grossing the same 20k, but you're working longer hours.

The latter is similar to the corporate lifestyle of America, and the former is like my beach bum days where I would stare at the ocean for hours and get paid $8 an hour working at a Gamestop.

I feel like taking that $8 and working at Gamestop while having the flexibility to stare at the ocean all day is worth much more than getting paid 100k and not having much autonomy. For that disagree with me, I reckon you're just jealous. Hmph.
