Yay I can finally play this game.

I used to have to commute 1 hour both ways and I didn't really mind it a ton at the time.

Then the pandemic happened and I worked from home and I suddenly really loved having two hours of my day back.

My work also liked not having to pay for business space in San Francisco, so it worked out for me too.

Really hurt my time I used listening to podcasts though.

All from this past year. I beg bad faith dopes to watch better TV instead of whatever lowest common denominator junk they can make fun of to try saying writers are all bad and don't deserve more. There are so many of these writers who are damn good attached to these shows and deserve better.

Anyone saying TV and writers suck now aren't watching enough good TV and are just watching mainstream schlock.

There's tons of great and well-written TV. I could probably double Han's already good list there.

For every writer who makes something crappy there's two or three more making quality stuff that's effected, and probably moreso.

Do not worry. They will surely get the Karkland.

Apparently the animation equivalent of this isn't also on strike, but not for a lack of solidarity, but because they would instantly get fired because they have less protections and they are in a far worse position than the writers are.

That's grim, but not as surprising.

The Vice news is... interesting

Vice has filed for bankruptcy, and been accused of delaying paychecks, and even outright not paying production staff and freelancers.

They built their brand on essentially trying to expose WWE and its stars through 'Dark Side of the Ring', but it's now emerged that they were treating people pretty badly themselves, and is filing bankruptcy as a result.

Lol I discarded a Helicarrier and got an Agatha Harkness out of it. So she keeps playing and there's a swap hands at turn 6 location. The other guy snaps and I sneak in a win because he was stuck only able to play Agatha in one location while I secured the rest.

Top tier Agatha strat. And it finally made my "Playing Agatha" title true!

Interesting that he points out that not even the people working on shows know how good their show is doing on streaming. I know they keep those numbers private for the public but that's crazy that they expect them to negotiate without knowing anything about their performance.

The only ongoing shows I watch right now are actually comedies, but those are fine because they're all pretty self-contained episodes.

The days of 23 episode season dramas with breaks in between are kind of done with now, thankfully. Now they'll just wait to film the entire shorter season and won't need to stop production in the middle.

Some Chibi ones are better than others.

I love my Hela one, for instance.

This is a good thing, of course, for the writers.

I'm trying to think of any ongoing shows that are on break that I love that may be effected and honestly, not that many. I know a few shows I watched 15 years ago got pretty devastated by the last writer's strike though.

I think the advent of streaming makes this easier. Plenty of other shows to watch in the meantime, and only the companies are really hurt ultimately.

Basically, I've been using Nebula in my Kingpin/Opponent Movement Deck

So that way it baits people from filling out my Kingpin lane by forcing them to fill out the Nebula one instead. Helps when using Professor X to bait them into using in Nebula's lane so I can snipe a lane with him turn 5.

And if people just ignore Nebula, I end up with a 7-9ish power Nebula while I beef up other lanes.

I mean, she's already stronger than Sunspot because it forces your opponent to be mindful of placement before she gets beefy!

If you were playing Sunspot in your deck, most times you're better off just running Nebula now.

They nerfed Sunspot who was fine as he was.

I was tentatively excited for this game but it seems like a bust. Just delay games FFS. You're just releasing this DOA at this point.

It was obvious from the announcement they weren't going to have 60 FPS that something was seriously wrong but people were still defending it. This seems like it deserves to bomb and maybe they'll reconsider putting out games this messy in the future.

Yeah, it's very weird that Samoa Joe isn't doing the voice of Sweet Tooth because why waste money to have Will Arnett do it and probably not be as much of an intimidating voice as Joe would be? You're already dumping a ton of money into this thing presumably, so why use more for Will Arnett? Who is actually going to tune into this show for Will Arnett voice acting Sweet Tooth?
